6th Annual Tulane Symposium on Thyroid and Parathyroid Diseases Hyatt French Quarter • February 1 – 2, 2014 Optional Post Sympoium • February 2 & 3, 2014

Tulane has a long history of successful continuing medical education programs and we believe that this program on thyroid and parathyroid diseases will continue this paradigm. We have had a very successful symposium for the last few years. This year, for our sixth annual symposium, the course will offer updates and new insights into a range of topics that cover thyroid and parathyroid diseases and a great hands-on experience. Our symposium will feature world-renowned faculty from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, and of Pittsburgh and will also feature Professor Miccoli’s team in performing a video-assisted thyroidectomy, which he pioneered.

The course will feature outstanding lectures, as well as • Hands-on ultrasound session • Hands-on fine needle aspiration biopsies with phantoms • Live case observation of robotic thyroidectomy (part of optional post-symposium sessions) • Hands-on Thyroid Cadaver Lab (part of optional post-symposium sessions) • Hands-on Adrenal Cadaver Lab (part of optional post-symposium sessions)

I hope that you can join us in New Orleans! Emad Kandil, MD, FACS Activity Director
