A.Yani 9/10 Ulu Palembang Telp. 0711-510043 Email: [email protected] Diterima :26/32/2013 Direvisi :25/05/2013 Disetujui : 30/08/2013 ABSTRAK Keurgensian peran bahasa Palembang, khususnya bebaso selain sebagai sarana komunikasi internal juga sebagai medium pembangunan, pengembangan, dan pewarisan budaya komunitas pemilik bahasa tersebut pada setiap anggota komunitasnya. Perhatian terhadap usia kelas-kelas permulaan pada tingkat pendidikan dasar sebagai usia produktif dalam pemerolehan bahasa (termasuk bahasa Palembang sebagai bahasa ibu) juga perlu dilakukan. Untuk itu bahasa pengantar dalam pendidikan pada jenjang tersebut menggunakan bahasa Palembang. Pemberian pelajaran dengan menggunakan bahasa pengantar bahasa Palembang pada tingkat permulaan dapat menjadi sarana bagi pembentukan sikap percaya diri pada peserta didik. Mereka merasa dihargai, karena bahasa yang mereka gunakan yang sekaligus menjadi sarana sosialisasi budaya yang membentuk diri mereka digunakan sebagai sarana dalam penyampaian pengetahuan di sekolah tempat mereka menuntut ilmu. Selain itu, secara psikologis siswa merasa aman berada di sekolah dan akan selalu siap untuk menerima pelajaran. Rendahnya daya serap akan terjadi jika pelajaran tertentu disampaikan dalam bahasa kedua yang belum dikuasai peserta didik. Selain harus berjuang untuk memahami materi pelajaran juga dalam waktu yang bersamaan siswa harus mengerahkan segala potensinya untuk memahami bahasa yang digunakan dalam penyampaian materi pelajaran tersebut.Terapan konkret yang harus dilakukan adalah dalam bentuk penempatan bahasa Palembang Halus (bebaso) sebagai salah satu Mata Pelajaran dan ini sudah sesuai dengan substansi Kurikulum 2013. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran, Bebaso, Kurikulum 2013 LEARNING BASO PALEMBANG ALUS (BEBASO) IN SCHOOL : PREPAREDNESS IN FACE CURRICULUM IMPLEMENTATION IN PALEMBANG CITY ABSTRACT Remember the importance of the role Palembang language, especially bebaso besides as a medium internal communication but also as a medium construction, development, and inheritance culture community from owners of the language in each community members; and pay attention for beginning age classes at elementary level as a productive ages in obtaining language (including Palembang language as a mother tongue), then , the use of intermediate language at that education level should use Palembang language. Giving lessons using intermediate language at beginning levels can be medium for forming self confidence in students. They feel valued, because language that they usually use and as a medium culture socialization that forming their self confidence, used as a medium in knowledge delivery at their school. Besides that, psychologically students feel safe in school and will always ready for accepting lessons. Inability would occur if certain subjects delivered in secondary language that students have not mastered yet. Besides must struggling to understand lesson materials, also at the same time students must pull out all of their potentials to understand language that spoken in delivered lesson materials. Applied concrete that must to do is in the placement form of Palembang language (bebaso) as a subjects and this is appropriately with the substance of the curriculum 2013. Keywords: Learning, Bebaso, Curriculum 2013 Jurnal Pembangunan Manusia Vol.7 No.2 Agustus 2013 PENDAHULUAN Al-Biruni, ahli geografi Persia yang Palembang adalah satu wilayah mengunjungi Sriwijaya tahun 1030, yang secara geografis terletak di pulau mengatakan bahwa negeri Sriwijaya Sumatra. Sumatera atau Sumatra terletak di pulau Suwarandib. Namun adalah pulau keenam terbesar di dunia ada juga orang yang mengidentifikasi yang terletak di Indonesia, dengan luas Serendib dengan Srilangka, yang tidak 443.065,8 km2. Penduduk pulau ini pernah disebut Suwarnadwipa. Tahun sekitar 42.409.510 jiwa (2000). Pulau 2009, jumlah penduduk kota ini dikenal pula dengan nama lain yaitu Palembang adalah 1.471.855 jiwa. In Palembang, both content and function words undergo reduplication, generating a wide variety of semantic functions, such as pluralization, iteration, distribution, and nominalization. Productive reduplication includes full reduplication and reduplication plus affixation, while fossilized reduplication includes partial reduplication and rhyming reduplication. We employed the Distributed Morphology theory (DM) (Halle and Marantz 1993, 1994) to account for these different patterns of reduplication. Moreover, we compared the functions of Palembang reduplication to those of Malay and Indonesian reduplication. Some instances of function word reduplication in Palembang were not found in these languages, such as reduplication of question words and reduplication of negators. In addition, Palembang partial reduplication is fossilized, with only a few examples collected. In contrast, Malay partial reduplication is productive and utilized to create new words, especially words borrowed from English (Ahmad 2005). We related it to the existence of students in the use of Indonesian language that was good and right. The theory used is bilingualism of two languages by one speaker based on the situation and the use of language in society. Data collection was through demographic surveys and semi-structured interviews. The findings of the study indicated that participants could understand and use Indonesian properly and correctly. Participants chose to use Indonesian for academic and formal situations or for meeting a stranger. The existence of participants in Indonesian wasn’t yet accustomed to using Indonesian language; the majority of them used Palembang (local) language. The use of Palembang language or regional languages is still carried over in the formal and academic environment. This study can be used as inputs for policy initiatives; more assertively and wisely directing students to use Indonesian in academic activities. Known as a translator of the famous al-GhazƗlƯ treatises he was also attracted much by the mystical ideas of Ibn ‘ArabƯ. Some of his works represent the synthesis of the two different schools of thoughts. Al-PalimbƗnƯ's typical characteristic of works is on trans- lation and adjusted adaptation clearly reflected not only in his major works like Sayr al-sƗlikƯn (“Mystical Path for Travelers”) and fat al-rƗghibƯn.

Though Javanese and Palembang comes from the same Austronesian languages, Palembang language has different serial verb’s construction (KVS) from Javanese language. The purpose of this research is to figure out the construction of the Palembang language serial verb types of directional motion and its type in language typology and then discover the difference between Palembang and Javanese languages. The data source used is in the form of everyday language from Palembang’s native speakers, as well as Javanese from the writer's basic intuition perspective. The methods used were interviews and literature study while the techniques and data used were observation and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used a typology approach. The results of this study prove that Construction of Serial Verbs for the Types of Directional Movement in the Palembang Language (KVSBPTGD) can be formed with a pattern of transitive basic verb + transitive past verb and intransitive basic verb

    STATE OF LINGUISTIC RESEARCH IN (SOUTH) SUMATERA Budi Agung Sudarmanto Balai Bahasa Palembang A. INTRODUCTION Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa (Agency for Language Development and Fostering) (formerly Pusat Bahasa/Center for Language) is an institution under the Ministry of Education and Culture which handles Indonesian and the regions linguistic and literary problems in Indonesia. The agency oversees 33 language centers and offices in all provinces in Indonesia. In Sumatra, there are five language centers (balai bahasa), namely Balai Bahasa Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, and Palembang, as well as five language offices, namely Kantor Bahasa Jambi, Lampung, Kepulauan Riau, Bengkulu, and Bangka-Belitung. Related to the problems of languages in Indonesia, the Agency for Language Development and Fostering from 1991 to 2008 administered research on the language mapping throughout Indonesia. This study resulted 442 languages spread over eight regions in Indonesia. These eight areas meant include (1) Sumatra: 26 languages, (2) Java and Bali: 10 languages, (3) Borneo: 55 languages, (4) Sulawesai: 58 languages, (5) West Nusa Tenggara: 11 languages, (6) East Nusa Tenggara: 49 languages, (7) Maluku: 51 languages, and (8) Papua: 207 languages. Studies on the language distribution as outlined in the form of language mapping in Indonesia is pretty much done. However, the results obtained from these studies still show confusion about the number of languages and kinship relation. As an example, Esser (1951) and Alisjahbana (1954) mentioned that there were 200 languages in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Salzner (1960) said there were 96 languages, while Grimes (1988) mentioned there were less than 672 languages in Indonesia, three of them extinct.
