Transportation and Parking in and around Bozeman/Montana State University Transportation from the Gallatin Field International Airport: The Hilton Garden Inn provides complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport and the hotel (2023 Commerce Way, Bozeman, MT 59715). • Alamo • Avis Car Rental • Enterprise Rent-A-Car • Hertz Uber is also available in Bozeman: https://www.uber.com/cities/bozeman/ Transportation around Bozeman, to/from Hilton Garden to MSU: A free Streamline (yellow-colored) bus service is available around Bozeman with all 5 lines beginning their routes at the MSU Strand Union Building (SUB) where the PNW-COSMOS Summit will be held. The frequency of the buses is usually around an hour. See the routes and schedules here: https://www.streamlinebus.com/routes-schedules/ The Blue Retail line is the one that passes close to the Hilton Garden Inn. The closest stop to the hotel is: 19th/Baxter (TownPump), which picks up at 7:48 AM and arrives at the MSU SUB at 8:15 AM On weekdays, return service from the MSU SUB runs 21 minutes after the hour with the last bus leaving at 6:21 pm. On Saturdays, the last bus that leaves the SUB is at 5:21 pm. There will be MSU Summit participants with cars and visitors from other Alliance institutions with extra space in their vehicles to accommodate shuttling between the hotel and MSU and to/from restaurants on Friday. Parking on the MSU campus: Download the MSU parking map here: http://www.montana.edu/parking/documents/ParkingMap.pdf There is NO free parking on campus during the work week except for after 6 pm and before 6 am in SB/F lots. Parking is free on the weekends; no permits are required. TWO PAID PARKING OPTIONS: Parking lots or Parking garage Parking lots: Permits for the parking lots are $5/day. You will need to purchase a permit for each day you will park on campus. You may buy a permit (scratch-off hang tag) at University Police, located at the corner of South 7th Avenue and Kagy Boulevard. The hours for this counter are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. With the daily permit, you can park in any parking lot with a space designated SB or F. You will be ticketed and fined if you park in an R or disabled spot, fire lane, or service drive. You CANNOT park in the parking garage with the scratch-off hang tag permits. The parking lots closest to the Strand Union Building (SUB) are: #11 on map: SB lot (off of 7th Ave. past the garage and construction site) #14 on map: SB lot (between Black Box Theater and Brick Breeden Fieldhouse) Parking garage: The cost is $4 for the first hour, up to $9 maximum per day; payment is required until 8 pm. You can pay for garage use at the automated kiosk by the garage. The Parking Garage is located in close proximity to the SUB off of 7th Ave. (#10 on map). Some of the spots are R/G (reserved) and some are timed parking (limited to 15 or 45 minutes); there are spots for daily use on the first floor and part of the 2nd floor, look for white and numbered spots. ***If you need to unload boxes, etc. at the SUB call MSU Parking/Police at (406) 994-1723 to request up to 30 minutes to unload. You will need to provide the make and color of the car. They will let you know where exactly you can park next to the SUB.
