2019 Career Destinations

Each year Career, Internship & Student Employment Services at conducts a survey to determine placement rates and salary survey information from recent MSU graduates (Summer 2018, Fall 2018, and Spring 2019). Graduates were requested to participate in the survey to provide relevant information regarding the transition from college to career/graduate school. The contents of this document reflect the information gleaned from that effort, demonstrating “life after university“ with regard to employment, graduate school, salary, location, etc.

There were 3,002 graduates and 1,248 respondents (41.6% response rate). • 64.4% (n=794) indicated they were employed full-time in their field. • 14.4% (n=178) indicated they were employed full-time not in their field. • 11.8% (n=145) indicated they were employed part-time. • 4.9% (n=60) indicated they were not employed and not seeking employment. • 4.5% (n=56) indicated they were not employed, but seeking employment.
