Ballet Cymru will be working with award-winning composer Jack White and Circus Company Citrus Arts to conjure a surprising world of wonder and magic. Featuring choreography by Creative Wales Award winner Darius James, Ballet Cymru brings to life this timeless story using the company's unique blend of classical technique and storytelling.Costs: Adults £16, Children (under 15) £10, Family of four £44. Before the live performance, a special workshop will take place on stage prior to the performance, between 5 - 6pm. Spaces are free of charge for ticket holders but availability is limited – please call the Box Office Manager on 01384 815591 to book. The minimum age for workshop participants is 7- years-old. There is an upper age limit of 16. The premise of the workshop is to give participants an insight into Ballet Cymru's current touring production and to meet and work with the dancers of the company. The workshop will include a short warm-up, a talk about the story, a chance to 'meet the characters' from the show, a short demonstration by some of the company members and an opportunity to learn something from the show. Workshop participants need to wear either dance clothes or tracksuit bottoms which don't cover the feet, and a t-shirt, ballet shoes or bare feet. Large jewellery is not suitable, long hair should be tied back and participants must not chew gum etc. on health and safety grounds. We invite you to come and take part in our magical family event, following the stars, before reaching the live Nativity Scene in the farmyard barns, complete with our family of donkeys. You can take part in our competition along the way – answering questions along the trail before posting your entry in the Visitor Centre. The winners will be announced at the end of the Christmas Season and a prize awarded. The Nativity Trail is included in normal admission into the grounds – £6.50 Adults, £3.50 Children (5-16 years). Booking isn’t necessary – simply turn up and pay upon arrival. Please note we are closed christmas day and boxing day.
