At present 2 plots of land are available each measuring 8333sqm and 8336sqm respectively at a price of 12 Euros per SQM. Each plot of land has a minimum of 30meters, frontage of the Lake. The nearest village of “Bata” which is 2Km away will provide the necessities such as water and electricity to the plot. There is not a single development surrounding the lake at present and hence the price is 12Euros. One can see the beautiful hills and the shadows of it over the clean water on the opposite side of the plot. Locals come to fish and camp on the lake. Fishing, hunting and farming are the main activities of the locals, while during the summer months they would work in the ever so popular tourist resorts of Sunny beach, Nessebar, Burgas, Obzor and soon the multi million Euro project will draw a lot of employment and interest in this region (please read “FUTURE GROWTH IN THE AREA”) The area where the plots are. 3 A guide at your finger tips Tax Living in Bulgaria . 15% capital gains tax applied to . It is widely called the seaside capital of Bulgaria as it is the biggest city at the Bulgarian coast. The city lies in the Bay of Varna, nestled in a deep valley between the Frengen Plateau and the Avren Plateau. Varna is over 11 km long, while its width, including newly erected residential quarters, is nearly 9km. The city’s structure resembles an amphitheatre as it follows the curves of the Bay of Varna. It is surrounded by gardens, vineyards and groves. Varna being 120km away shall be one of the two major cities with links to Lake Aheloy providing all the transport facilities i.e. International Airport and port services as well as train and bus station linking to all major cities within Bulgaria and Europe BURGAS: The city of Bourgas has a population of almost 200,000 people according to recent data, and is the second largest city at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. It is also the fourth largest city in the country, following Sofia, Plovdiv and connecting Varna. It is situated in the farthest western part of the Bourgas Bay and 390km east of Sofia. Due to the low level of the coast in the area, three lagoon-lakes (the Atanassovo, Bourgas, and Mandren lakes) lie in the area surrounding the city. Burgas being 35Km away from Lake Aheloy shall be the other major city providing all the transport facilities required today in the modern world. SUNNY BEACH: (Slanchev Bryag) Resort is situated 42 km north of Bourgas and 28km away from Lake Aheloy. Practically, the resort occupies the entire territory stretching from the village of St Vlas to the north and the town of Nessebar to the south. The resort offers more than 120 hotels and two camping sites, and is rich in entertainment facilities. NESSEBAR: The town of Nessebar has about 10,000 inhabitants and extends over a small peninsula. It lies 37km northeast of Bourgas and 25Km away from Lake Aheloy. Its beach is considered to be one of the finest along the Black Sea coast due to a large sandy strip of land between the town and the village of Ravda, covered with clean golden sand. POMORIE: continuing south of Nessebar towards Burgas, the road passes the salt pans surrounding Lake Pomorie, one of Bulgaria’s main sources of salt, and renowned for its therapeutic mud baths. 5 Future Growth in the Area Sport & Golf Complex Kabland in Pomorie Pomorie.com, 29 Oct 2007 A new recreational sports complex called “KABLAND” is going to be constructed close to the small town of Kableshkovo, Pomorie. This approach, which combined the conventional light microscopy (LM) and molecular-genetic methods (based on PCR amplified fragments of microcystin synthetase gene mcyE), revealed that almost all microcystin-producers in the studied eutrophic waterbodies belong to the genus Microcystis. During the molecular identification of toxin-producing strains by use of HEPF × HEPR pair of primers, we obtained 57 sequences, 56 of which formed 28 strains of Microcystis, spread in six clusters of the phylogenetic tree. By LM, seven Microcystis morphospecies were identified (M. aeruginosa, M. botrys, M. flos-aquae, M. natans, M. novacekii, M. smithii, and M. wesenbergii). They showed significant morphological variability and contributed from <1% to 98% to the total biomass. All data support the earlier opinions that taxonomic revision of Microcystis is needed, proved the presence of toxigenic strains in M. aeruginosa and M. wesenbergii, and suppose their existence in M.

  • Influence of Climate Variability on Water Resources in the Bulgarian South Black Sea Basin
Regional Hydrological Impacts of Climatic Change—Hydroclimatic Variability (Proceedings of symposium S6 held during the Seventh IAHS Scientific Assembly at Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, 81 April 2005). IAHS Publ. 296, 2005. Influence of climate variability on water resources in the Bulgarian South Black Sea basin BERNARDO LIZAMA RIVAS1 & IVANKA KOLEVA-LIZAMA2 1 Department of Hydrology, National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, 66 Tsarigradsko Shosse, 1784 Sofia, Bulgaria [email protected] 2 Department of Ecology, University of Forestry, 10 Kliment Ohridski, 1796 Sofia, Bulgaria Abstract The South Black Sea basin in Bulgaria was selected as the study area. The region is of agricultural and forest importance for the country. The irrigation water demand increases in summer when most of the rivers in the region have low flows. The purpose of this research is to assess the variability of hydro-meteorological conditions in the study catchments. Long-term data (1952–2002) from some hydro-meteorological gauging stations, which are located in the study catchments, were used. In order to evaluate the influence of climatic factors on the water resources, the warm and humid conditions were analysed. Application of several statistical tests demonstrated that there are changes in runoff which are not caused by man’s activity. The features of the variations of these hydro-meteorological elements and their inherent trends are determined. The results of this study show that runoff has decreased considerably all over the study region in recent years. The significant tendency to a gradual reduction of runoff in the region is due to considerably decrease of the precipitation and increase of temperature.

  • Nominalia of the Bulgarian Rulers an Essay by Ilia Curto Pelle
Nominalia of the Bulgarian rulers An essay by Ilia Curto Pelle Bulgaria is a country with a rich history, spanning over a millennium and a half. However, most Bulgarians are unaware of their origins. To be honest, the quantity of information involved can be overwhelming, but once someone becomes invested in it, he or she can witness a tale of the rise and fall, steppe khans and Christian emperors, saints and murderers of the three Bulgarian Empires. As delving deep in the history of Bulgaria would take volumes upon volumes of work, in this essay I have tried simply to create a list of all Bulgarian rulers we know about by using different sources. So, let’s get to it. Despite there being many theories for the origin of the Bulgars, the only one that can show a historical document supporting it is the Hunnic one. This document is the Nominalia of the Bulgarian khans, dating back to the 8th or 9th century, which mentions Avitohol/Attila the Hun as the first Bulgarian khan. However, it is not clear when the Bulgars first joined the Hunnic Empire. It is for this reason that all the Hunnic rulers we know about will also be included in this list as khans of the Bulgars. The rulers of the Bulgars and Bulgaria carry the titles of khan, knyaz, emir, elteber, president, and tsar. This list recognizes as rulers those people, who were either crowned as any of the above, were declared as such by the people, despite not having an official coronation, or had any possession of historical Bulgarian lands (in modern day Bulgaria, southern Romania, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, and northern Greece), while being of royal descent or a part of the royal family.

  • Species Composition of the Free Living Multicellular Invertebrate Animals
Historia naturalis bulgarica, 21: 49-168, 2015 Species composition of the free living multicellular invertebrate animals (Metazoa: Invertebrata) from the Bulgarian sector of the Black Sea and the coastal brackish basins Zdravko Hubenov Abstract: A total of 19 types, 39 classes, 123 orders, 470 families and 1537 species are known from the Bulgarian Black Sea. They include 1054 species (68.6%) of marine and marine-brackish forms and 508 species (33.0%) of freshwater-brackish, freshwater and terrestrial forms, connected with water. Five types (Nematoda, Rotifera, Annelida, Arthropoda and Mollusca) have a high species richness (over 100 species). Of these, the richest in species are Arthropoda (802 species – 52.2%), Annelida (173 species – 11.2%) and Mollusca (152 species – 9.9%). The remaining 14 types include from 1 to 38 species. There are some well-studied regions (over 200 species recorded): first, the vicinity of Varna (601 spe- cies), where investigations continue for more than 100 years. The aquatory of the towns Nesebar, Pomorie, Burgas and Sozopol (220 to 274 species) and the region of Cape Kaliakra (230 species) are well-studied. Of the coastal basins most studied are the lakes Durankulak, Ezerets-Shabla, Beloslav, Varna, Pomorie, Atanasovsko, Burgas, Mandra and the firth of Ropotamo River (up to 100 species known). The vertical distribution has been analyzed for 800 species (75.9%) – marine and marine-brackish forms. The great number of species is found from 0 to 25 m on sand (396 species) and rocky (257 species) bottom. The groups of stenohypo- (52 species – 6.5%), stenoepi- (465 species – 58.1%), meso- (115 species – 14.4%) and eurybathic forms (168 species – 21.0%) are represented.
