During the period 01.07—20.11.2019, a total of 2,261 prophylactic medical examinations were carried out with the four mobile gynaecological offices to uninsured persons of Roma origin and to persons with difficult access to medical facilities, as 951 women were diagnosed with diseases. The implementation of the activity for each Regional Health Inspectorate is in accordance with an order of the Minister of Health to carry out not less than 500 examinations with each mobile gynaecological office. Financial resources of BGN 12,500 were allocated for each mobile unit, totalling BGN 50,000 for the four units. BACKGROUND INFORMATION 1. On Wednesday 5 January 2011, the Bulgarian authorities confirmed a case of foot and mouth disease (FMD) in one of three wild boars shot on 30 December 2010 in the municipality of Malko Tarnovo, Burgas region, around 2 km from the border with Turkey. 2. Bulgaria has implemented the measures in the framework of Council Directive 2003/85/EC of 29 September 2003 on EU measures for the control of foot-and-mouth disease. The measures provided for in the Directive include epidemiological investigation, suspension of hunting and a ban in feeding wild animals, placing under official surveillance holdings keeping animals of susceptible species, inspection by an official veterinarian of all wild animals shot or found dead, surveillance programmes and prevention measures applicable to the holdings keeping animals of susceptible species and if necessary, in its surroundings, including the transport and movement of animals of susceptible species within, from and to the area, etc. 3. The Bulgarian authorities established a protection zone of 3 km and a surveillance zone of 10 km radius around Kosti and launched a sero-epidemiological surveillance programme within the surveillance zone and in all villages and settlements in the municipalities of Sredets, Malko Tarnovo and Tsarevo. 4.

Second bilateral event in Tsarevo on 22/10/2020: Second bilateral event took place in Tsarevo / Ahtopol on 22/10/2020 with participation of the Representative of Kaynarca Municipality. The event included a press conference as well for informing the local public and relevant local stakeholders of the action. On October 22, 2020, at an official ceremony in the town of Ahtopol, the construction activities under the project “Improvement of the access to the late antique and medieval fortress in the town of Ahtopol. Accessible Heritage - Sustainable Tourism Based on Cultural Assets (CAST)” under the Interreg Cross-Border Cooperation Program - IPA CBC Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020. The symbolic first sod was made by the mayor of Tsarevo Municipality, Eng. Georgi Lapchev. The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Tsarevo Mrs. Tanya Yancheva, the Mayor of Ahtopol Stanislav Dimitrov, representatives of the project partner Municipality of Kaynardzha, Turkey and the contractor, project teams, representatives of municipal administration, municipal councilors and citizens. With the grant provided to the Municipality of Tsarevo, the access to the discovered remains of a late antique and medieval fortress in the town of Ahtopol will be improved and improved. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA The area of Shabla community covers the northern-most Bulgarian coastal municipality. It is bordering Romania to the North, the Black Sea to the East, Kavarna municipality to the South and General Toshevo municipality to the West. The area of the municipality is 329.97km2 and constitutes 5.62% of the coastal zone of the country. The population of the municipality is 6,900 in 16 human settlements. Fig. 1: Location map of the north-east region of Bulgaria. 1.1 Physical process level 1.1.1 Classification General: beaches and cliffs CORINE: beaches Coastal guide: coastal plain 1.1.2 Geology The area is relatively simple from geological view point. Sarmat (Upper Miocene) deposits on top of lower Cretaceous and Vallange deposits. The Sarmat deposits are whitish, cavernous limestone located near the surface. The top consits of loess and loam, with a thickness of from several tenths of centimeters (in the East) to 15-20m in the Western part.
