Frillesås BK was formed in 1960 and has played in lower divisions for all years since then. The team won the Division 1 South season 2005/2006 and participated in the qualification games for promotion to the highest series but failed. But the 2017-2018 season, the club took the step into 's highest series and is now playing its second season in Elitserien. Frillesås is a club in Frillesås in in Sweden.

In September 2006, the city was devastated by a major fire. Houses from the 19th century were destroyed after the fire started at Restaurant Ester. The fire destroyed restaurants, cafes, shops and apartments. In August 2013, local newspaper Norra Halland's premises on Kyrkogatan burned down in an applied fire. In April 2014, the inner city was once again ravaged by a fire when a newly opened candy store burned down.

Arena Sjöaremossen in Väröbacka is an outdoor arena that was completed in 1979. The audience record was set against Hammarby last season when 1 850 people visited Sjöaremossen.

Last season Frillesås played its very first season in the Swedish Elitserien. The team ended up in a qualifying series and managed to survive in Elitserien.
