This year, East Coast GRC and Fengshan SMC celebrated Singapore’s 51st birthday with a spectacular display of performances and activities. National Day dinners and events were held in various parts of our town hosted by each division. Observance ceremonies were also organised to remind Singaporeans of the importance of nation building and racial harmony. Residents sang the National Anthem and recited the pledge as a way of reaffirming our love for our country. Thousands of residents joined hands and came together, regardless of race, language or religion, to celebrate our nation’s birthday with pride.
