The fact that inspections on ECAC operators account for almost two thirds of the total number of inspections is a direct consequence of the fact that a vast portion of European air traffic is performed by operators from those states. SIKORSKY The distribution of SAFA inspections by aircraft manufacturers is in line with the volume of traffic performed with the respective types. In 2010, inspections covered also general aviation and helicopter operations, but the overall majority concentrated on commercial operations with aeroplanes.
