YANGON, 16 Jan — The 24th Gems and Jade sales for 2008 of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Ltd continued for the second day at Myanma Gems Mart on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road in Mayangon Township here today. Members of the board of direc- tors of UMEHL and officials visited the sales. Altogether 850 merchants — 640 from local and 210 from foreign countries — observed gems and jade. Gems and jade will be put on display till 17 January, and the sales will be held on 18 and 19 January. — MNA
