We had another great turn-out for the 5th Annual Community Clean Up at A.H. Browne Park this past June. Despite the weather, around 78 people signed in to help pick garbage in the streets and alleys. After the hard work was done, everyone enjoyed pizza and fruit for lunch. We removed 3,950 kg of waste which included 61 tires (taken to A1 Tires for recycling), and many containers of oil which were diverted to the oil recovery A big THANK YOU to all who showed up - it was great to centre at the landfill. Job well done! see all the familiar faces and the new faces as well. See you next year!

Thank you for the support: • Mike Yerhoff, local resident with Realty Executives who sponsored the pizza lunch • The Safeway in Mayfair for the wonderful fruit donation • Unique Lighting on Idylwyld for their donation • Atrium Dental and Astro Towing for the glove donations • The Greek House on 33rd who baked the delicious pizzas • Adrian and Samantha Salahub with Contour Development, Dave and Nathan Newton, Colin Bishop for providing the trucks • Carpenter’s Church group for their help – and for promoting the event. • Olivia Morelli for her help with setting up, manning the book table, serving lunch, etc. • Dawn Paton for helping serve lunch • Thank you for the book donations: Lori, Sheri, Allan and Carol • City of Saskatoon, Fire and Protective Services, Jacqui Barclay from Saskatoon Public Health Region • Park Mayfair Kelsey Woodlawn Community Association members who organized the event
