RMITV is a student-led television production house operating out of RMIT University and is always on the lookout for new content ideas. This guide will provide you with an outline on making a program with RMITV and the program proposal guidelines. Where do I begin? For your production to be considered you will need to prepare and send a program proposal to the RMITV Content and Development Manager. Only pitches from current RMITV members will be considered, please note that you do not have to be an RMIT student to become a member. Membership details can be found on https://www.joinit.org/o/rmitv-student-community-television. IMPORTANT PRODUCER INFO All producers should read and familiarise themselves with the RMITV/SCT Inc Constitution and Programming policies, as well as all other current policies, available on the RMITV website: www.rmitv.org. To be considered, producers are required to have completed at least one full season of crewing on an RMITV program. Program proposals are reviewed by the Content and Development Manager. The decision-making process usually takes 3-4 weeks. The producer grants to RMITV SCT Inc. a special purpose, non-exclusive licence which permits RMITV to reproduce parts of the Program (no more than 7 minutes or 40% of a total episode, whichever is longer) for the purpose of promotion of RMITV. -

NewsEMMANUEL COLLEGE COMMUNITY Dear Parents and Friends Issue No. 11 25 June, 2021 Congratulations to Ballarat dementia advocate Anne Tudor who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), in the recent Queen’s Birthday honours, for her service to people living with dementia and their supporters. Anne was Deputy Principal at the College in the 80s/90s. Thank you and best wishes to Ms Kate Sawyer and Ms Rebecca Dunn who have covered classes for colleagues on leave over Semester 1. Best wishes also to Mr Mark Turner who extended his time at the College into first semester this year to assist with coverage of House Leader positions for colleagues on leave. Congratulations to Ms Selma Porcic on her appointment as Winters House Leader at SPC for next term. Well done to our Senior Girl’s and Year 7 Boys on reaching the Grand Finals of the respective SACCSS and ACC competitions. Although our girls were defeated on the day we are proud of their achievements over the season and the spirit in which they competed. Congratulations to our Year 7 team on winning the premiership. In very muddy conditions, the scores were tied until the last 5m of the game with the College then scoring a goal and Whitefriars having a shot in the dying seconds – victory by 5 points! A great game of footy played in fine spirit by both sides! Semester Two has begun in earnest, with all classes starting new areas of study and seeing changes to electives for our younger students. Staff have been busy finalising end of semester reports. -

Second Quarter Report
RMIT University Student Union Second Quarter Report Reporting Period: 1 April – 30 June 2018 President’s Report he second quarter has seen the RMIT University Student Union continue to do what it does T best, by serving the needs of all students while providing plenty of opportunities to have fun, socialise, grow, develop skills, and give back. During the second quarter, our amazing team of volunteers contributed over 1,500 hours of their time to support and feed their fellow students, helping to make the University a better place for everyone. We held a wonderful event in May to say thank you to these very special students and ensure that they are recognised for their efforts. RUSU’s weekly Chill ‘n’ Grill events continue to feed (and entertain) thousands of hungry students across the metropolitan campuses, while the Healthy Breakfast program has grown considerably to now provide an average of 2800 serves of fresh fruit, vegan cakes, yoghurt cups and bread with delicious dips per week. In addition, RMIT’s vocational education students were treated to a bi-monthly free lunch in the Building 57 courtyard, with almost 1800 hot meals provided in semester one. RUSU continues to grow our wide variety of offerings while maximising efficiency to get the most out of our programs. RMIT University Student Union Third Quarter Report Reporting Period: 1 July – 30 September 2017 RMIT UNIVERSITY STUDENT UNION President’s Report What a massive quarter for the RMIT University Student Union! This period is always an exciting one for RUSU, as it means it’s election time - a fantastic opportunity for students to express what kind of leadership and direction they want from their student union. The election was hard-fought, as usual, but fair, as always. This year saw a significant increase in the number of votes posted from last year, a sure sign that students are actively aware of RUSU but also that students across RMIT’s campuses are being heard. We look forward to welcoming a new group of student advocates later in the year, and we can’t wait to see what kind of energy they bring. Speaking of RMIT’s various campuses, we have seen great progress this quarter in our engagement plan for Point Cook. We are now proudly running a free regular lunch event at Point Cook, something students attending this campus have missed out on for a long time! Bundoora has seen a huge amount of events and activities this quarter, as has Brunswick. We’re really pleased with the way RUSU has engaged with these outer campuses, and it’s a great credit to the staff and student representatives who work with and represent these particular student communities. On the City campus, RUSU was proud to open our new activity space in the NAS precinct. Located just beneath our new front office, the space will give our clubs and departments the room to hold large-scale events and training sessions that would not be possible in our other spaces. -

RMIT University Student Union Fourth Quarter Report Reporting Period: 1 October – 31 December 2017 President’s Report s we come to the end of the year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on 2017 and the many A fantastic things the RMIT University Student Union has been able to achieve. We’re proud of the progress we have made throughout the year and the continued hard work of our student representatives and team of staff. With the completion of the New Academic Street, RUSU was able to finally re-open our Realfoods cafe. The new space in Building 8 has been a long time coming, but it looks fantastic and we can’t wait to really embrace it in 2018. It’s important for students to have access to affordable healthy, ethical, and sustainable food and drinks on campus, and we’re so pleased with how the new storefront has turned out. Constitutional changes do not happen very often, but in 2017 we were able to make a very significant one with the introduction of an Indigenous Officer position on the Student Union Council. The first RUSU Indigenous Officer, Jedda Rocha Costa started her term on 1 November. Welcome Jedda! On a personal note, I was honoured to be elected the President of RUSU for another year and will continue to advocate for the rights of all students while ensuring that RUSU upholds its high standards. We’re looking forward to 2018 and working with the University to make sure the needs of students are always at the centre of decision making at RMIT.
