SUMMARY

Southwest Monsoon affecting the entire country. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over , , , , Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao and the islands of Babuyan. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorm will prevail over the rest of Cagayan, provinces of Batanes, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Aurora. Moderate to occasionally strong winds coming from the Southwest will prevail over Northern Luzon and Aurora Province. The coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. 1) Status of Affected Families / Persons To date, there are 2,750 families or 12,329 persons affected in 113 barangays in Regions I, III, NCR, C ALABARZON, and C AR ( see Table 1).

a) A total of 86 families or 367 persons are currently staying inside 4 evacuation centers in Regions I, III, NCR, CALABARZON and C AR (see Table 2).

3) Status of Damaged Houses

4) Cost of Assistance ₱196,222.48 worth of assistance has been provided to the affected families. Of which, ₱51,452.48 was provided by DSWD while ₱144,770.00 was provided by LGUs (see Table 5).

DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● The Disaster Response Assistance and Management Bureau of the DSWD is on Green Alert 31 July 2017 Status effective 31 July 2017, 6PM ● The Disaster Response Assistance and Management Bureau of the DSWD is continuously 29 July coordinating with DSWD-Field Offices of NCR, I, III, CALABARZON, and CAR for significant 2017-Present reports on assistance and relief efforts.

DSWD-FO I DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN 29 July ● The DSWD-FO I is continuously monitoring the situation of the affected families. 2017-Present

DSWD-FO III DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● Coordinated with the DSWD Provincial Extension Office to validate the report and assess the current needs of the affected families; 31 July 2017 ● The DROMIC Focal Person of the DSWD-Field Office III continuously monitors the situation ● Ongoing validation and assessment of the reported affected families if relief augmentation is needed 30 July 2017 ● Submitted the Terminal Report on the Effects of the Southwest Monsoon.

28 July 2017 ● The DSWD-FO III is continuously coordinating with the DSWD Provincial Extension Office to 29 July 2017 validate reports and assess the current needs of affected families.

DSWD-FO CALABARZON DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● The DSWD-FO CALABARZON coordinated with RDRRMC CALABARZON OpCen to monitor the effects of the Southwest Monsoon. ● SWAD Teams of Cavite, Laguna and Rizal coordinated with P/MSWDOs and LDRRMOs in the flood and landslide prone areas in their respective AORs. 29 July ● Alerted OCD CALABARZON to provide logistical requirement should there be needs for 2017-Present augmentation of FNIs in Tanza, Cavite and in the municipalities of Rodriguez and San Mateo in Rizal Province. ● All SWAD Teams R/PQRTs were advised to be on stand-by alert for possible full-activation. ● Coordinated with DILG CALABARZON for the verification of the injured person in Tanza, Cavite.

DSWD-FO NCR DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● LGUs have not yet requested augmentation assistance from the Field Office. ● Flood monitoring of the Southwest Monsoon is terminated. However, the Disaster Response 31 July 2017 Section and Disaster Teams are on standby alert and on-call status to render duty in case the situation deems it necessary. ● Submitted the Terminal Report on the Effects of the Southwest Monsoon. ● The LGUs of Valenzuela and Malabon have not yet requested augmentation assistance from DSWD-FO NCR. Furthermore, both LGUs will continuously provide hot meals, blankets, and 29 July 2017 food packs to the affected families. ● The DSWD-FO NCR continuously coordinates with the affected LGUs for updates.

DSWD-FO CAR DATE SITUATIONS / ACTIONS UNDERTAKEN ● The Quick Response Team (QRT) remains active 24/7 for continuous updating and 31 July 2017, monitoring of the situation on the ground. 6PM ● Per the verified data on the 417 persons affected, the pathway towards their homes was damaged and had only caused them to be isolated.

● The municipality of Tadian requested for 500 family food packs. The request shall be turned over to the DSWD-CAR Property Procurement and Supply Section. ● A total of 14,301 Family Packs are available at DSWD-CAR Warehouse at La Trinidad, Benguet for possible augmentation. Below are the updates based on the reports from LGUs and staff from the different provinces:

Apayao ● A total of 750 Family Packs are available at SWAD office

Benguet ● One evacuation center (Tublay School of Home Industries) remains open ● 6 Family Food Packs and 6 bags of dignity kit were given to the 6 families affected in 31 July 2017, 6AM Bakun, Benguet amounting to Php 8,874.48

Baguio City ● One family with six members were evacuated and opted to stay with their neighbor

Ifugao ● No affected families as to date

Kalinga ● No affected families as to date

Mountain ● Ten (10) families with thirty three persons at , Tadian and Poblacion, Province Sabangan pre-emptively evacuated to their relatives ● Additional 500 family food packs have been requested

● The DSWD CAR through its SWAD Teams are in close coordination with the P/M/CSWDOs 30 July 2017 and P/M/CMDRRM Offices in monitoring the situations on the ground
