DISASTER RESPONSE ASSISTANCE AND MANAGEMENT BUREAU (DREAMB) Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center DSWD DROMIC Report #9 on the Effects of Southwest Monsoon as of 2 August 2017, 6AM SUMMARY Southwest Monsoon affecting the entire country. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Abra, Kalinga, Apayao and the islands of Babuyan. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorm will prevail over the rest of Cagayan, provinces of Batanes, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Aurora. Moderate to occasionally strong winds coming from the Southwest will prevail over Northern Luzon and Aurora Province. The coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Source: DOST-PAGASA Daily Weather Forecast 1) Status of Affected Families / Persons To date, there are 2,750 families or 12,329 persons affected in 113 barangays in Regions I, III , NCR , CALABARZON, and C AR (see Table 1). Of which, ₱51,452.48 was provided by DSWD while ₱144,770.00 was provided by LGUs (see Table 5). Table 5. The previous reports showed that the Cost of Assistance in Bauang is at ₱4,537.00 and Pasuquin is at P200,000.00 however, after validation, it was confirmed to be only ₱2,600.00 in Bauang and ₱38,620.00 in Pasuquin .
