A. NATIONAL / NDRRMC

1. NDRRMC Operations Center  NDRRMC Operations Center is on RED ALERT Status effective 8:00 AM, 19 September 2014 and continuously monitors and disseminates Severe Weather Bulletins, 24-hour Public Weather Forecasts, Gale Warning, General Flood Advisories, and Dam Bulletin and Advisories to all RDRRMCs/OCDRCs through SMS, facsimile, and websites for further dissemination to their respective Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to the municipal levels; and directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertake precautionary measures in their respective areas of responsibilities (AOR)

18 September 2014  Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) Core Group, led by Executive Director USEC Alexander Pama convened at the NDRRMC Operations Center for a meeting in anticipation to Tropical Storm “MARIO” (FUNG-WONG) effects

19 September 2014  Alerted the Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) Core Group thru SMS in anticipation for the PAGASA Red Rainfall Warning issuance  Coordinated with Duty Liaison Officers in the NDRRMOC for the dispatch of rescue assets in affected areas to assist in the evacuation  At around 10:45 AM, a joint press conference was conducted in NDRRMC Operations Center led by Sec. Corazon Juliano-Soliman, Sec. , USec. Pama to brief the public on the ongoing rescue and relief operations. Further, Dr. Esperanza Cayanan of PAGASA provided the weather situation and latest update of TS Mario and briefed the public  At around 4:00PM, Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Sec. , Defense Secretary , DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, DPWH Sec. Rogelio Singson, and MMDA Sec. Francis Tolentino, and NDRRMC Members had a meeting and conducted a Press Briefing at the NDRRMC OpCen to monitor the conduct of rescue operations

2. Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)  Continuously monitors the situation and disseminate weather bulletins, gale warnings, general flood advisories, and 24-hour public weather forecast  Issued a Report on the Commencement of Flood Warning Operations for Magat Flood Forecasting Warning Section Dam Office on 18 September 2014 at 11:10 AM  Issued Magat River Flood Bulletin No. 01 on 18 September 2014 at 11:45 AM

3. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)  As of 10:00 PM, 20 September 2014, DSWD FOs have standby funds amounting to PhP35,741,155.87  Stockpiled 114,504 family food packs, 841,123 pieces of food items, and 205,458 pieces of non-food items  Closely coordinated with DSWD FOs affected by TS “MARIO” for significant reports

DSWD RO I . Pre-positioned goods amounting to PhP8,767,418.18 (food items) and PhP6,082,767.93 (non-food items) . Standby fund amounting to PhP7,884,516.11 and Quick Response Fund (QRF) amounting to PhP13,000,000.00 were made available . SWAD Team and QUART in the Provinces of Ilocos Norte and Pangasinan were placed on standby . Prepared evacuation centers and locations for the community kitchen

DSWD FO II . Alerted SWAD Teams and Disaster Monitoring and Response Teams (DMRT) to render duty . Continuously disseminated weather advisories to all SWADs and MSWDO through SMS . Philippine Airforce (PAF) . TOG 3RD closely monitored situation and readied two (2) helicopters for SAR operations and aerial survey

4th Infantry Battalion . Alerted Disaster Response Team and line companies to include CAFGU Patrol Base for the conduct of rescue operation

Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) . Deployed one 6x6 truck to DSWD IV-A for immediate dispatch of relief goods . Sent 730th CG standby team to PDRRMO Batangas OpCen . Deployed one (1) squad of 16IB in San Mateo, Rizal and one (1) section of Beta Company in Barangay Calawis, Antipolo City .
