Benefits/Uses of the CBMS

Very useful in MDG targeting  Targeting is specific (number and location)  Number of malnourished children  Number of children who died  Number of children not attending school  Number of Households without access to safe water  Number of Households without access to sanitary toilet facility Benefits/Uses of the CBMS

Victims of crime 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Application of CBMS to RPS  CBMS Data is a very rich and comprehensive (sectoral) source of data for the CDP and CLUP  More comprehensive and specific in location than NSO data.  Linkage of Planning and Budgeting is clearly manifested using CBMS. (targets for investment are cleverly identified) Application of CBMS to RPS  Land use allocation will be easier because target beneficiaries are specifically, identified and located (CBMS Data)  Gender responsive Data Base because data are gender disaggregated  Rights –Based Data Base  MDG Responsive  Child Friendly Responsive (detailed data on children) IMPLEMENTED PROGRAMS/PROJECTS THRU CBMS DATA BASE  Identified Recipients of UNDP-UN- Habitat, LGA and LCP “FACES” Project Family-based Action for Children and their Environs in the Slums  Integrating “SHEPHERD” project thru FACES Housing Project at Darapidap  Integrating “SHEPHERD” project thru FACES Housing Project at Patpata  Identified Recipients of “FACES” Livelihood Project  Identified Recipients of “FACES” Electrification Project  Identified Recipients of “Gawad Kalinga”  Identified Recipients of “FACES” Water System and Sanitation Project CANDON CITY’s Next Step to CBMS  Institutionalize CBMS thru Local Ordinance that surveys be conducted regularly (Every three (3) years)  Creation of a unit in the MIS Division to handle exclusively CBMS Data Processing  Upgrading into a CBMS-Based Geographical Information System (GIS)
