Prusaprinters Morty Smith [Rick and Morty] 3D MODEL ONLY ChaosCoreTech VIEW IN BROWSER updated 5. 12. 2019 | published 5. 12. 2019 Summary Edit: I saw some people saying the file had some errors in Slic3r. I've uploaded a fixed file. Sorry for the troubles! :) Watch here: https://youtu.be/hX9XGU1L7OY Last time I asked if there were any fans of Rick and Morty out there. It turns out there are! Rick got a lot of love, so let's give him some company. He redeemed his voucher for a replacement Morty. I created this model in ZBrush. I used ZSpheres to get the main body shape there. I modeled him in an A pose, then I moved his arms to get them in the right position. Then I just went through, extracted the areas where his clothes are, then I shaped and added details to the face. After modeling I ran it through Meshmixer to plane cut the feet so he'll stand normally. Then I also exported it in STL format from there. I printed it on my Wanhao D7 with FunToDo Snow White Resin. Then my wife sanded and primed it. She used her airbrush to paint the skin colors on, then used paintbrushes and acrylic paints to paint everything else. Then we just super glued it to the base. • Rick and Morty and Narrative Instability
Łukasz Muniowski “Stealing Stuff Is about the Stuff, not the Stealing”: Rick and Morty and Narrative Instability Abstract: Rick and Morty, one of the most popular presently-airing American TV series, is deeply rooted in popular culture. Each episode is full of allusions and references to other cultural texts, accentuating the show’s own status as a pop cultural text. This article analyzes the third episode of the fourth season of Rick and Morty, “One Crew Over the Crewcoo’s Morty,” using Stefan Schubert’s concept of narrative instability. The episode mocks twist films by introducing a ridiculous number of twists, eventually making the viewer immune to the element of surprise usually brought on by what Schubert understands as unstable moments. In doing so, the episode also emphasizes the overuse of that narrative device in recent decades in films, TV series and video games. “One Crew Over the Crewcoo’s Morty” deconstructs twist films while sticking to the rules of the sub-genre and remaining entertaining in its own right. Instability can pose quite a problem for the showrunners, who usually have to adjust to the norms of serialized storytelling. By using Schubert’s theory of narrative instability to discuss a singular episode of a series, I hope to demonstrate the extent to which this quality has permeated modern storytelling. The episode highlights the effects of over-reliance on narrative instability as a tool, as even the most elaborate form is not enough to make up for the lack of essence. This is exactly what Rick criticizes in the episode, when he states: “stealing stuff is about the stuff, not the stealing.” Keywords: narrative instability, Rick and Morty, TV series, narrative theory, animated series Rick and Morty is an adult animated TV series which airs on Adult Swim, a nighttime programming block on Cartoon Network.

  • In the Dust of the Multiverse?
1 Thomas Browne RMA Comparative Literary Studies Research Master’s Thesis Supervisor: dr. Birgit Kaiser Utrecht University In the Dust of the Multiverse? How black comedy in Rick and Morty elaborates on and challenges Eugene Thacker’s cosmic pessimism 2 Abstract This thesis reads the American animated comedy, Rick and Morty, can be alongside and against Eugene Thacker’s “cosmic pessimism”, a pessimistic posthumanist philosophy elaborated over various works. The aim is to see how an understanding of the tenets of cosmic pessimism can enrich a reading of Rick and Morty, and moreover to see what challenges Rick and Morty poses for cosmic pessimism itself, since this latter, according to Thacker, takes the distinctly un-comedic genre of supernatural horror, not he animated sitcom, as the privileged site of its elucidation. In order to carry out this investigation, the work considers Rick and Morty within two different traditions: that of dark comedy, and that of the postmodern sitcom. These guide the reading, with an understanding of the postmodern sitcom providing the tropological and contextual ground of the investigation and the major features of dark humour — specifically irony and the grotesque — providing the structure by which the analysis proceeds. This investigation aims to explore Rick and Morty as a truly distinctive text at the confluence of diverse aesthetic and philosophical notions, and in so doing will challenge and modify the conclusions of Thacker’s cosmic pessimism. 3 Table of Contents Introduction ……………………………………………………………………….4

  • Artificial Sentience Having an Existential Crisis in Rick and Morty
“What is my purpose?” Artificial Sentience Having an Existential Crisis in Rick and Morty Alexander Maxwell Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand Abstract The American television show Rick and Morty, an animated science fiction sitcom, critiques speciesism in the context of bleak existentialist philosophy. Though the show focuses primarily on human characters, it also depicts various forms of artificial sentience, such as robots or clones, undergoing existential crises. It explicitly effaces any distinction between human sentience and artificial sentience, forcefully treating all sentient life with an equivalent respect (or disrespect). The show also problematizes human speciesism in relationship to terrestrial and extra-terrestrial life. Philosophers sometimes describe philosophical questions as problems of “the human condition.” As so often in philosophy, initial definitions have important consequences. This essay does not aspire to any definitive delineation of the “human,” an ambiguous and complicated category (see Dennett 1988, Gee 2020). However, it observes that different definitions of the “human” determine how or whether philosophical ruminations about “the human condition” apply to non-humans, including various hypothetical forms of artificial sentience imagined in science fiction: robots, clones, and the like. Artificial sentience, as distinguished from those sundry technologies known as artificial intelligence, lies far beyond current technological ability. The absence of empirical knowledge about artificial sentience restrains our ability to contemplate its philosophical properties. Nevertheless, the literary genre of science fiction has repeatedly proven a productive vehicle for speculations about hypothetical future technology. This essay considers the existential crises of non-human sentiences in Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland’s television show Rick and Morty (USA, 2014 to present) which first broadcast on 14 April 2014 on Adult Swim, the adult-oriented evening programming on the cable channel Cartoon Network.

  • Rick and Morty CYOA (SB Ver) Jumpchain Complaint Version 1.0 By: Domino
Rick And Morty CYOA (SB Ver) Jumpchain Complaint Version 1.0 By: Domino Welcome to a multiverse that is basically a never-ending fart joke wrapped around a studied look into nihilism. This is an infinite multiverse which means that even though they only exist on a subset of infinite universes, there’s an infinite number of iterations of a super genius scientist going on adventures with his grandson, his granddaughter and his son-in-law. Sometimes they don’t all die in sudden, unimaginable pain! Take 1000cp with you, you’ll need it. Age & Gender Look, age is just a number and gender is just a social construct. Be whatever you want and however old you want, the multiverse is a vast place and there’s plenty of variants. Origins All origins can, should you choose, be drop-in origins with no relation to the main cast or imported memories, and with just enough of a paper trail and history to keep people from getting suspicious. Jerry Smith You are Jerry Smith. I’m sorry. Or, you know, you might be just another working class schlub who has a boat full of insecurities and fears about his loved ones (though you don’t have to, since the universe is infinite - there must be some Jerrys that are above below average). Morty Smith You are Morty Smith. Good Luck. High School is pretty awful, but there’s every chance that you have a grandfather that wants to reconnect with his estranged daughter through you. And if you aren’t a Morty, you might be one of his classmates.

While balancing the considerable contributions of everyone involved with this mémoire with but a few lines of recognition seems like a rather poor deal for them, I can but do my humble best to express the gratitude they are all equally owed from the bottom of my heart. First of all, I wish to thank my forbearing mentors and supervisors, Professor Bertrand Rouby and Professor Estelle Epinoux. Their patience and knowledge, expertise and encouragement and endless guidance have been a constant source of inspiration for me from day one, and it is also thanks to them and their compelling lectures and fascinating classes that I have made it this far in academia at all. Thank you. Next, I wish to thank two unsung heroes, my indefatigable editor and my sophisticated scientific consultant, whom the latter insists I refer to as S J Dagg BA, MA, MPhil and C M Dagg BSc, C.Chem, MRSC, respectively. Mum and Dad, I’ve come a long way from the lost-looking four- year-old you dropped off for his first day at Scoil Eoin all those years ago, and I owe it all to you.
