The hikers were located in good condition. The tubers were rescued and the Marine Recue crew returned to their base. 20 13:56 VIR INLAND 1 7 1 7 Nanaimo SAR members responded to rescue a 200627 WATER swimmer in distress in the Nanaimo River. The subject was rescued in good condition by others and SAR was stood down. 20 14:30 VIR LAND 1 5 1 5 Campbell River SAR members responded to 200628 locate and transport an injured 73 y/o hiker on the Heriot Bay Ridge Trail. The SAR team conducted a winch rescue of the subject and passed her to BCAS for treatment. 20 16:36 SWE LAND 1 6 1 6 North Shore Rescue members responded to a 200629 locate a lost hiker in the Saint Mark Summit area in West Vancouver. SAR was stood down when the RCMP was able to locate the subject at home. 21 12:12 VIR INLAND 1 12 1 12 Nanaimo SAR members responded to rescue a 200635 WATER near drowning victim down a very steep trail off Riverside Road. The subject was brought out by SAR and handed off to BCAS for further treatment. 21 12:17 CTL LAND 2 3 2 3 Oliver - Osoyoos SAR members responded to 200636 locate two lost hikers on Mt Kobau. SAR was able to direct the subjects out of the area by phone. 21 1256 SWE LAND 2 4 2 4 North Shore Rescue members responded to 200637 assist 2 stranded hikers on the Taint Trail. The subjects were escorted down in good condition by SAR. 21 13:55 SWE LAND 1 3 1 3 Hope SAR members responded to locate a 200638 missing fly fisherman last seen on the Silver Skagit Flood FSR. SAR was stood down when the subject was located alive and well. 21 14:19 CTL INLAND 4 3 4 3 Penticton Marine Rescue members responded to 200639 WATER rescue 2 subjects in the channel. On arrival there were 4 subjects rather than 2, and all were rescued and handed over to the RCMP. 21 1417 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 Lions Bay SAR members responded to rescue a 200640 missing hiker near Lions Bay. SAR was stood down by RCMP when the subject was located at a nearby store. 21 1614 SWE LAND 1 7 1 7 North Shore Rescue members responded to 200641 rescue an injured hiker from the Seymour Valley in North Vancouver. The hiker fell 10M and sustained broken ribs and internal injuries. She was airlifted out of the area and delivered to a waiting BCAS crew for further assessment, treatment and transport to the hospital 21 18:30 SWE LAND 1 13 1 13 Kent Harrison SAR members responded to an 200642 injured dirtbiker near Harrison Hot Springs. The subject was rescued and transferred to BCAS. 21 19:18 CTL LAND 1 8 1 8 Penticton SAR members responded to an injured 200643 male in Okanagan Falls. The subject was transferred to BCAS without SAR assistance. 21 19:10 SWE LAND 2 16 2 16 Coquitlam SAR members responded to search 200644 for two missing teens on Eagle Mountain. The teens were located by the SAR team on a gravel road and were escorted back to the command vehicle. 21 21:13 VIR LAND 1 11 1 11 Westcoast Inland SAR members responded to 200645 an overdue hiker on Meares Island. The subject was located by members of his community, and SAR was stood-down by RCMP while responding 21 21:49 SWE LAND 1 3 1 3 North Shore Rescue members responded to an 200646 injured hiker on the Grouse Grind. The subject was brought back down to the base and transferred to a waiting BCAS crew. 22 02:54 SWE LAND 1 1 South Fraser SAR member responded for a 200647 missing elderly female last seen in the Richmond area. SAR stood down when they never received a follow up call from the RCMP about responding. 22 03:30 NWE LAND 1 6 1 6 Kitimat SAR members responded to a possible 200648 missing driver from an MVI on the Kitimat River dike. SAR did not locate anything and was stood down. 22 07:03 SEA LAND 4 7 4 7 Fernie SAR members responded to search for a 200649 vehicle with 4 family members that was traveling from Calgary to Newgate. The subjects were located in good condition. 22 08:55 VIR LAND 5 5 Campbell River SAR members responded to a 200650 medical assist for a seriously ill camper at Cape Scott Provincial Park. The team was on standby as BCAS flew in their paramedics and were unable to locate anyone in distress. It was decided that the situation had resolved itself and the SAR team was stood down. 22 10:15 VIR LAND 1 31 1 16 Arrowsmith, 12 Comox Valley, 2 Campbell River 200651 and 1 Nanaimo SAR members responded to locate a missing despondent female in Whiskey Creek. The incident was concluded after extensive searching failed to find any sign of the subject and the file was passed back to the RCMP. 22 1234 SWE LAND 1 10 1 10 Hope SAR members responded to a fallen 200652 climber on the Yak Peak. The injured climber was flown out of the area by helicopter with a suspected fractured ankle and was passed over to a waiting BCAS crew for further assessment, treatment and transport to the hospital. 22 14:04 SWE LAND 1 9 1 9 Squamish SAR members responded to an 12 y/o 200653 female who flipped over her handlebars while mountain biking on the 'Leave of Absence' trail. The female was rescued with an injured upper leg, and was handed over to BCAS for further assessment and treatment. 22 15:25 CTL INLAND 1 8 1 8 Penticton Marine Rescue members responded 200654 WATER for a person in distress in the Penticton Channel. The Marine Rescue team was stood down on scene as the subject had made it safely to shore. 22 19:07 SWE LAND 1 10 1 10 Hope SAR members responded to search for an 200655 80 year old dementia subject in the Hope area. The subject returned home and the SAR team was stood down. 22 22:15 NEA INLAND 4 4 4 4 Prince George SAR members, with assistance 200656 WATER from Prince George Fire Rescue, responded to rescue a family of four who were experiencing motor issues on their boat on the . SAR and Fire Rescue arrived on scene and transferred 2 subjects to each of their boats and brought them back to shore. 22 22:51 SWE LAND 2 2 Kent Harrison SAR responded to investigate a 200657 flare sighting on Mount Cheam Ridge. SAR was stood down by RCMP pending further investigation.

23 02:01 SEA LAND 4 10 4 10 Kaslo SAR members responded to search for 4 200258 overdue people near the Buchanan Outlook, outside of Kaslo. The team successfully located the subjects and brought them out to safety. 23 11:50 SWE LAND 1 1 1 1 Whistler SAR member responded to an injured 200659 mountain biker on the Barts Dark Trail. SAR stood down as Fire Rescue was able to reach the subject.

23 14:29 CTL INLAND 1 19 1 14 Shuswap SAR and 5 Shuswap Rescue 1 200660 WATER members responded to a subject drowning in the Shuswap Lake. The subject was not located and SAR was stood down by the RCMP dive team. 23 19:52 CTL INLAND 2 4 2 4 members of Kelowna Marine Rescue responded 200661 WATER to search for 2 paddle boarders in distress on Okanagan Lake. The area was searched with nothing found and team was stood down. 23 16:11 CTL LAND 1 20 1 20 COSAR members responded to locate a female 200662 with a possible head injury in the vicinity of Grey Stokes FSR. The subject was located in good condition and handed over to the RCMP. 23 1712 NEA LAND 1 4 1 4 Robson Valley SAR members responded to an 200663 injured elderly male in the McBride area. The subject suffered a knee sprain and declined BCAS assistance or treatment. 23 20:47 NWE LAND 1 14 1 14 Bulkley Valley SAR members responded to 200664 search for a missing male who suffers from dementia in the Smithers area. SAR was stood down by RCMP pending further investigation. 23 23:13 SWE LAND 1 10 1 10 members of Chilliwack SAR responded to 200665 search for a missing 52 Y/O male with possible medical issues. The subject was located safely and the SAR team was stood down. 23 23:23 NEA LAND 1 11 1 11 members of North Peace SAR responded to 200666 search for a missing female in the Blueberry area. SAR was stood down by RCMP pending further investigation. 24 02:20 CTL INLAND 2 4 2 4 Shuswap Rescue 1 members responded to a 200667 WATER report of boaters in distress on Shuswap Lake. The Rescue 1 crew located the distressed boaters who were having troubles beaching. SAR stood down as the subjects did not need rescuing. 24 07:09 VIR LAND 1 1 1 1 Campbell River SAR member responded to 200668 assist with a missing teenager with cognitive disabilities missing from her home in Campbell River. Subject was located and SAR was stood down. 24 12:21 CTL INLAND 8 8 Penticton Marine Rescue members responded to 200669 WATER 4 innertubers in distress in the Penticton Channel. Upon responding, the Marine Rescue crew did not find any innertubers in distress, and returned to base. 24 14:20 SEA INLAND 2 2 2 2 Nelson SAR members responded to 2 stranded 200670 WATER kayakers on Slocan Lake. BCAS found the subjects walking along the road and stood SAR down. 24 14:15 NWE LAND 1 13 1 13 Bulkey Valley SAR members responded to 200671 rescue an injured mountain biker with a suspected head injury on the Piper Down Mountain Trail. The subject was rescued and handed over to BCAS 21 14:28 VIR LAND 1 12 1 12 Cowichan Valley SAR members responded to 200672 rescue a motorist after their vehicle went off a bridge West of Youbou. Youbou Fire Rescue responded and transfered the subject to BCAS, and the SAR team stood down. 24 14:57 VIR LAND 1 10 1 10 Nanaimo SAR members searched for a missing 200673 82 y/o male with dementia missing from the Home Depot. The subject was located and turned over to the RCMP in good condition. 24 15:06 SWE LAND 1 13 1 13 South Fraser SAR members responded to 200674 search for a despondent male in East Newton area in Surrey. The missing male was not located, and the SAR team was stood down pending further information. 24 15:18 CTL INLAND 2 7 2 7 Penticton Marine Rescue members responded to 200675 WATER rescue 2 subjects in distress in the Penticton Channel. The Marine Rescue members successfully rescued the 2 subjects. 24 1706 SEA INLAND 1 1 Grand Forks SAR member responded to rescue 200676 WATER a male in the Kettle River. The SAR team was stood down by the RCMP, as they were able to rescue and arrest the fugitive. 24 2156 NEA LAND 2 2 Tumbler Ridge SAR members responded to a 200677 SPOT beacon activation in the Wapiti Lake area. The SAR team made contact with the hikers who were in good condition, but had a faulty SPOT beacon. 25 0009 CTL LAND 1 3 1 3 Vernon SAR members searched for a missing 200678 person that hadn't been seen since the morning in the Silver Star Road area. SAR was stood down the following morning when the RCMP located the subject deceased. 250039 0039 SWE LAND 1 7 1 7 Kent/Harrison SAR members responded to a 200679 male in distress on the Harrison East FSR. Upon arrival, BCAS was already on scene with the patient who was suffering from a blood clot, and the SAR team was stood down. 25 10:49 SEA LAND 1 6 1 6 Fernie SAR members responded to an injured 200680 hiker on the Goldilocks Trail in the Fernie area. SAR successfully rescued the subject and passed them over to BCAS. 25 13:12 CTL INLAND 2 2 2 2 Penticton Marine Rescue members responded to 200681 WATER assist 2 people who had to abandon their boat after a mechanical issue on board. The subjects were towed home once it was determined the issue was not as bad as first thought. 25 14:26 SWE INLAND 7 5 7 5 Squamish SAR members responded for 7 200682 WATER stranded canoeists, one with an open wound and wrist injury on the Squamish River. SAR was stood down when a passing boater picked the subjects up. 25 15:10 SWE INLAND 1 15 1 15 Chilliwack SAR members responded for a 200683 WATER possible drowning at Cultus Lake. A member of the public found the subject deceased, and the SAR team was stood down. 25 15:14 SWE LAND 1 6 1 6 Ridge Meadows SAR members responded to 200684 rescue an injured male with a fractured leg near Park. The SAR team were able to access the subject and transfered him to BCAS. 25 16:52 NWE INLAND 12 7 Nechako Valley and 5 Prince George SAR 200685 WATER members responded to rescue a group of stranded tubers on the Stellako River. The SAR teams were was stood down when RCMP determined that the tubers were no longer in danger. 25 18:17 CTL INLAND 1 4 1 4 Vernon SAR members responded for a stranded 200686 WATER boater on Okanagan Lake, near the Paddlewheel Park in Vernon. The subject was safely towed back to the boat launch. 25 20:40 CTL INLAND 4 4 Kelowna Marine Rescue members responded to 200687 WATER boaters in distress on Okanagan Lake, near Rattlesnake Island. The Marine Rescue crew was stood down en route as there ended up being no event. 25 2343 NEA INLAND 2 2 Prince George SAR members responded to 200688 WATER search for two missing females on the Nechako River. After an aerial search of the river, and no missing persons files, the RCMP is satisifed that there were never any missing individuals 26 08:44 SEA LAND 1 43 1 43 SAR members from Cranbrook, Creston, 200689 Grand Forks, Castlegar and Kimberley assisted by 4 PEP Air members responded over two days to search for a missing male in the Moyie Lake area. The male was located deceased on the second day and turned over to the Coroner. 26 03:44 NEA LAND 1 12 1 12 Prince George SAR members responded to 200690 search for a missing quadder in the Chief Lake Road area near Prince George. The subject was rescued and transferred to BCAS and SAR stood down. 26 10:24 SWE LAND 1 4 1 4 members of Ridge Meadows SAR responded to 200691 search for an injured hiker at the Golden Ears hut. SAR was stood down by the RCMP when Air 5 was able to rescue the subject and fly them out to BCAS. 26 10:44 SWE LAND 1 7 1 7 Pemberton SAR members responded to rescue 200692 an injured mountain biker on the Chilcotin Mountain. The subject was flown out to the Whistler medical center suffering from a severe shoulder injury. 26 11:26 SWE LAND 1 6 1 6 North Shore Rescue members responded for a 200693 hiker with an ankle injury on Elsay Lake, North Vancouver. The subject was airlifted out of the area and delivered to the SAR base. 26 11:57 SWE LAND 1 19 1 19 Squamish SAR members responded to rescue 200694 an injured hiker on Niobe Peak. SAR performed a winch rescue on the subject, and extracted 3 bystanders who had been performing first aid and would otherwise be left in technical terrain overnight. 26 12:01 SWE LAND 1 19 1 19 Squamish SAR members responded to rescue 200695 an injured mountain biker on the ENN trail. SAR performed a winch rescue on the subject who had sustained an ankle dislocation. 26 14:48 CTL INLAND 3 3 members of Penticton Marine Rescue responded 200696 WATER to 3 tubers in distress under the bidge on the Penticton Channel. The Marine Rescue crew was stood down before they could get the boat in the water. 26 16:13 VIR LAND 1 16 1 16 Comox Valley SAR members responded to 200697 rescue an injured hiker at Kwai Lake. The subject was located and transferred to BCAS suffering from a knee injury. 26 16:52 NEA LAND 2 2 Robson Valley SAR members responded to 200698 search for 2 overdue hikers on the Berg Lake Trail on Mount Robson. The SAR team was stood down by RCMP when they learnt that the hikers merely decided to stay out for a couple extra days. 26 17:04 VIR LAND 2 12 2 12 Nanaimo SAR members responded to 2 lost 200699 hikers in the Mt Benson Area. The subjects were located, brought out and taken back to their vehicle. 26 17:28 SWE AIR ELT 16 2 PEP Air and 14 Central Fraser Valley SAR 200700 members responded to investigate an ELT sounding and a possible plane crash north of the Abbotsford Airport. JRCC advised that it was a false ELT activation, and there was no plane in distress. 26 17:37 SEA LAND 1 8 1 3 Rossland & District SAR and 5 South Columbia 200701 SAR members responded to a missing 5 year old boy in Genelle. SAR stood down when the subject was located by others. 26 19:50 SWE INLAND 2 16 2 8 Hope and 8 Chilliwack SAR members responded 200702 WATER to 2 stranded swimmers near the Othello Tunnels. The subjects were rescued successfully and safely brought to shore. 26 20:23 VIR LAND 3 2 3 1 Campbell River SAR and 1 Alberni Valley Rescue 200703 Squad member responded to rescue 3 hikers near Margaret Lake in Strathcona Provincial Park. Due to the technical terrain and possible exposure risk, 442 Squadron was tasked to perform the rescue. The Buffalo aircraft spotted the hikers, and the Cormorant responded to rescue them. The 3 hikers were rescued and flown to CFB Comox. 26 23:09 SWE LAND 1 13 1 5 Hope SAR members and 8 Chilliwack SAR HETS 200704 members responded to an overdue hiker on Mount Outram in the Cascade Recreation Area. The hiker was located and subsequently flown out via HETS due to the rugged terrain in the area. 26 21:45 NWE INLAND 3 9 3 9 Terrace SAR members responded to rescue 200705 WATER three people in a car that went into the Skeena River. The 3 subjects were able to exit the vehicle without SAR assistance, and the vehicle was retrieved. 26 23:40 VIR INLAND 2 3 2 3 Campbell River SAR members responded to 200706 WATER search for two overdue boaters on the Nimpkish River in the Zeballos / Woss area. FLOODING

On 21 July, an incident was opened to retroactively cover flood mitigation for the sewer systems in Fort St. John impacted by a rain event through June 14th – 15th.

On 21 July, an incident was opened to retroactively cover flood mitigation for the sewer systems in Fort St. John impacted by a rain event through July 1st – 3rd.

On 23 July, a TASK number was issued to track flooding impacting the Fort Nelson First Nation.

MISCELLANEOUS

On 21 July approval was given to Okanagan Indian Band to provide ESS coverage for a resident whose home became inhabitable due to an ongoing flooding issue.

On 25 July an incident was opened for the Okanagan-Similkameen Regional District to open an EOC in response to a municipal water shortage due to a mechanical pump issue in Kaleden.

On 25 July, an incident was opened for Lumby Fire to assist BCEHS with a child that was struck by a tractor.

On 26 July, an incident was opened for Kamloops Fire to respond to a subject that was suffering chest pains in a remote 4x4 access only area.

On 26 July, an incident was opened for Tumbler Ridge Fire to respond to a vehicle and trailer rollover. 3 subjects impacted requiring 1-night accommodation.
