Designed by Abraham Price and produced by the Blue Wallpaper Warehouse in London, its ‘Chinoiserie’ pattern highlights the importance of trade in relation to British design history. Cost: Free, no booking required Hillingdon Council presents Manor Farm History Weekend Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September, 10am to 4.30pm As part of the National Trust’s Heritage Open Days, the Manor Farm site in Ruislip welcomes families to a weekend of activities celebrating the Tudors. On Saturday, there are Tudor-themed children’s craft workshops in the Stables and on Sunday there’s Manor Farm Manor historical live music and dancing, a living history camp held with Shakespearean travelling players performing on stage, with writing sessions, weapon display and sword school. The book was recently adapted to a critically-acclaimed film with Oscar-winning Judi Dench.
