To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to address the mounting height of the Schwank heater series 2300 (model 2312, 2313, and 2352). The mounting heights listed in the Schwank Installation Manual (page 8) are strictly suggested mounting heights for comfort on a patio application and not a clearance to combustible distance.

The mounting height may be shifted up or down based on the heating instensity required as long as clearance to combustible distances are maintained (listed page 7 of the installation manual). Additionally, clearance to combustible distances may be reduced when a heat shield is installed with the heater per code.
