Barry Arnold has lived in Pontgarreg, Ceredigion for 35 years with his wife, Christine, who is also an artist. The seascape, landscape, farms and buildings have proved an unlimited source of inspiration for his paintings. They have a feeling of warmth and tranquility, and he produces work that is representative of how the countryside ‘feels’ rather than looks and they seem to capture the ‘soul’ of the land. Barry works mainly with acrylic paint on board, rather than on canvas. artist. Mae Barry Arnold wedi byw ym Mhontgarreg ers 35 mlynedd gyda’i wraig, Christine, sydd hefyd yn artist. Bu’r môr, y dirwedd, y ffermydd a’r adeiladau yn ffynonellau diderfyn o ysbrydoliaeth ar gyfer ei baentiadau. Mae iddynt deimlad o gynhesrwydd a llonyddwch, ac mae Barry yn cynhyrchu gweithiau sy’n llwyddo i gynrychioli ‘enaid’ cefn gwlad. Bydd yn gweithio â phaent acrylig ar ford gan mwyaf, yn hytrach nag ar gynfas.
