He spent 13 years in the club's first team either side of a successful spell at AEK Athens, with whom he won two league titles and the Greek Cup in 1977/78 to complete a domestic double. • Moved into coaching at Velez immediately after retiring as a player in 1983, the highlight of his four years in charge victory in the 1985/86 Yugoslav Cup; returned to Greece in 1988, winning four league titles in eight years with AEK and adding the Greek Cup in 1996, his final season in charge. • Made a surprise move to Olympiacos that summer, winning three consecutive championships and another domestic cup in just over three years; added another Greek Cup with PAOK in 2001 and, after 18 months back at AEK, returned to Olympiacos to win another domestic double in 2004/05. • After less than a year in Serbia with Crvena zvezda, Bajević went back to Greece and Aris, whom he led to fourth place in the league and the cup final in 2007/08; a third spell at AEK followed before six-month stints in Cyprus with Omonia and back in Greece with Atromitos. Bajević left the latter post in December 2012 and did not return to coaching until taking charge of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 21 December 2019 – his first coaching post in his homeland since leaving Velež more than 30 years earlier. 5 Bosnia and Herzegovina - Northern Ireland Thursday 8 October 2020 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Stadion Grbavica, Sarajevo Match officials Referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz (ESP) Assistant referees Pau Cebrián Devís (ESP) , Roberto del Palomar (ESP) Video Assistant Referee Alejandro Hernández (ESP) Assistant Video Assistant Referee Xavier Estrada Fernandez (ESP) Fourth official Ricardo de Burgos Bengoechea (ESP) UEFA Delegate João Morais (POR) UEFA Referee observer Alfredo Trentalange (ITA) Referee UEFA EURO Name Date of birth UEFA matches matches Antonio Mateu Lahoz 12/03/1977 7 80 Antonio Mateu Lahoz Referee since: 1992 First division: 2008 FIFA badge: 2011 Tournaments: 2018 FIFA World Cup, 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, 2016 Olympic Games, 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup Finals N/A UEFA European Championship matches featuring the two countries involved in this match Stage Date Competition Home Away Result Venue reached 16/11/2014 EURO QR Israel Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 Haifa Other matches involving teams from either of the two countries involved in this match Stage Date Competition Home Away Result Venue reached 07/09/2012 WC QR Russia Northern Ireland 2-0 Moscow 21/08/2014 UEL PO FK Sarajevo VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-3 Sarajevo 16/11/2014 EURO QR Israel Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 Haifa 6 Bosnia and Herzegovina - Northern Ireland Thursday 8 October 2020 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Stadion Grbavica, Sarajevo Match-by-match lineups Bosnia and Herzegovina Final tournament - Qualifying round Matchday 1 (23/03/2019) Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1 Armenia Goals: 1-0 Krunić 33, 2-0 Milošević 80, 2-1 Mkhitaryan 90+3 (P) Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić, Ćivić, Bičakčić, Todorović, Bešić, Višća, Pjanić, Džeko (87 Koljič), Zukanovic, Krunić (82 Gojak), Zakarić (65 Milošević) Matchday 2 (26/03/2019) Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-2 Greece Goals: 1-0 Višća 10, 2-0 Pjanić 15, 2-1 Fortounis 64 (P) , 2-2 Kolovos 85 Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić, Bičakčić, Kolašinac, Bešić, Višća, Duljević (80 Milošević), Pjanić, Džeko (90 Gojak), Cimirot (93 Krunić), Šunjić, Zukanovic Matchday 3 (08/06/2019) Finland 2-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina Goals: 1-0 Pukki 56, 2-0 Pukki 68 Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić, Ćivić, Bičakčić, Bešić (79 Gojak), Višća, Duljević (68 Bajić), Džeko, Cimirot, Šunjić, Zukanovic, Sarić Matchday 4 (11/06/2019) Italy 2-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina Goals: 0-1 Džeko 32, 1-1 Insigne 49, 2-1 Verratti 86 Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić, Ćivić (71 Nastić), Bičakčić, Todorović, Bešić, Višća, Pjanić, Džeko, Gojak (80 Cimirot), Zukanovic, Sarić Matchday 5 (05/09/2019) Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-0 Liechtenstein Goals: 1-0 Gojak 11, 2-0 Malin 80 (og) , 3-0 Džeko 85, 4-0 Višća 87, 5-0 Gojak 89 Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić, Todorović, Kolašinac, Višća, Pjanić (83 Lončar), Džeko, Gojak, Šunjić (25 Mihojević), Zukanovic, Krunić, Milošević (55 Duljević) Matchday 6 (08/09/2019) Armenia 4-2 Bosnia and Herzegovina Goals: 1-0 Mkhitaryan 3, 1-1 Džeko 13, 2-1 Mkhitaryan 66, 2-2 Gojak 70, 3-2 Hambartsumyan 77, 4-2 Lončar 90+5 (og) Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić, Bičakčić, Todorović (85 Bajić), Kolašinac, Bešić (80 Lončar), Višća (64 Duljević), Pjanić, Džeko, Cimirot, Gojak, Zukanovic Matchday 7 (12/10/2019) Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 Finland Goals: 1-0 I.

  • European Champions
CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE Welcome to the SSE Airtricity League guide to Irish clubs in European competitions ahead of the start of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League and Europa League season. This guide has all the necessary statistics and facts you will need to cover the SSE Airtricity League clubs’ journey in Europe this campaign and I’d like to thank Michael Hayes in the FAI Competitions Department for creating this guide. Each season, we all look forward to seeing our clubs compete in European competition and last season definitely didn’t disappoint. Dundalk grabbed the headlines across the continent for their exploits in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. Stephen Kenny managed his side through difficult ties against FH Hafnarfjordur and BATE Borisov to lead the Lilywhites to the UEFA Champions League play-offs against Legia Warsaw. After a valiant display in Warsaw, they were narrowly beaten on aggregate but still qualified for the Europa League group stages. Great results against AZ Alkmaar and Maccabi Tel Aviv followed and the run in Europe showed the very best of domestic Irish football. Whilst Dundalk grabbed the headlines, Cork City also enjoyed a successful run in the Europa League. Wins over Linfield and Swedish Cup winners BK Hacken set up a third qualifying round tie against Genk. They were narrowly beaten by the Belgian side who went on to reach the quarter-finals of the competition. Looking ahead to this season, it’ll be great to see Derry City back in European competition, a club with a proud tradition in European competition.

  • Shamrock Rovers and the Return to Kevin O'connor to Cork City
CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE Welcome to the 2019 SSE Airtricity League. It is great to have the domestic game back and this is a truly exhilarating time of the year. Last season proved to be exciting throughout the campaign as Dundalk secured the domestic double, the SSE Airtricity League and the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup in emphatic style. Stephen Kenny's proved to be the team to beat last season after a fantastic campaign as Pat Hoban led the goalscoring charts with 29 goals. The Lilywhites will have a period of adjustment though after Stephen Kenny left for the FAI to take on the Republic of Ireland Under-21 position before moving into the senior role in 2020. John Gill has gone into Dundalk to work with Vinny Perth so it will be interesting to see how the Champions get used to life without Stephen. There are a number of teams who have made some noteworthy additions during the off-season with the likes of Chris Forrester and Mikey Drennan at St. Patrick's Athletic, Aaron Drinan at Waterford, Jack Byrne at Shamrock Rovers and the return to Kevin O'Connor to Cork City. I truly believe that this will be one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory in both the Premier and First Division. Shelbourne have made some fantastic signings with Ciaran Kilduff returning to the domestic game and Paul Keegan has made the step down to the First Division with Bray Wanderers. The beauty of the First Division is that anyone of the teams could challenge like Wexford Youths did in 2015, and to see Danny Furlong back at Ferrycarrig Park should excite us all.
