He spent 13 years in the club's first team either side of a successful spell at AEK Athens, with whom he won two league titles and the Greek Cup in 1977/78 to complete a domestic double. • Moved into coaching at Velez immediately after retiring as a player in 1983, the highlight of his four years in charge victory in the 1985/86 Yugoslav Cup; returned to Greece in 1988, winning four league titles in eight years with AEK and adding the Greek Cup in 1996, his final season in charge. • Made a surprise move to Olympiacos that summer, winning three consecutive championships and another domestic cup in just over three years; added another Greek Cup with PAOK in 2001 and, after 18 months back at AEK, returned to Olympiacos to win another domestic double in 2004/05. • After less than a year in Serbia with Crvena zvezda, Bajević went back to Greece and Aris, whom he led to fourth place in the league and the cup final in 2007/08; a third spell at AEK followed before six-month stints in Cyprus with Omonia and back in Greece with Atromitos.
