The whisky is then finished in a combination of first fill bourbon barrels followed by time in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks to produce this outstanding malt whisky that provides the perfect balance of rich spicy fruits, overlaid with the characteristic sea spray and vanilla oak finish for which the house of Glen Scotia is famous. FEATURES & BENEFITS • Glen Scotia is one of the smallest and most traditionally-operated distilleries in Scotland. The result is a line of small-batch, perfectly balanced malts with intense and highly discernible character. • Glen Scotia malts have a distinct, lightly peated profile with clearly identifiable influence from sherry cask ageing along the sea coast. • Double Cask is finished in the finest American oak barrels and then Pedro Ximenez sherry casks creating a perfect balance of rich spicy fruit with hints of sea spray, offering the consumer a chance to enjoy a true Campbeltown single malt. • Our Double Cask is bottled at 46% ABV and is non-chill filtered resulting in a rich smooth taste providing a balanced single malt with intense character.
