Program 2016

Dharma Journeys Retreat Eight Verses of Thought Transformation: Retreat at the Great Complex at Borobudur, with Venerable Robina Courtin.

Our retreat dates are June 24 – 28, 2016 from our meeting point in Borobudur, Indonesia. We will visit the Stupa daily for practice, and there will be meditations, teachings, and discussion sessions at the Manohara Hotel. A typical retreat day starts early with meditation, followed by breakfast. Then there will be retreat sessions along with trips to the stupa. The sessions will include meditations, teachings, and Q&As with Ven. Robina at the hotel in our own private air-conditioned meeting room, with tea and snacks available. Often a group in retreat will opt to maintain silence for all or part of the time (for example Venerable Robina Courtin before breakfast and after dinner) as this adds to the contemplative quality of the experience. was ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist nun Traditionally people sit on the floor, but we will have comfortable chairs if you’d like one. at Kopan Monastery, Nepal in 1978.
