1 THE EVENT “Dragon Boat, a water sport for everyone!” The Dragon Boat is an ancient boat that comes straight from an ancient Chinese legend, with a huge Dragon head at the front. The Dragon Boat is about 12m long and 1m20 wide, and weighs between 250 and 300 kg. The Dragon Boat is a water activity for all those who love sports, the outdoors, team spirit and conviviality. It doesn’t matter what age or physical condition you are in, you just need to be able to swim!
“A pleasure to paddle in a friendly atmosphere”. In the Dragon Boat, a team of 16 to 20 paddlers paddle together. A drummer, at the front of the boat, sets the pace to the beat of a drum and gives the instructions for the race. A helmsperson, standing at the stern, steers the boat. The official races are held over distances of 2000m, 500m and 200m.
“The Annecy Dragon Boat Festival, a unique event” The Annecy Dragon Boat Festival, organised by the Canoe-Kayak Club of Annecy (CKCA) and Dragon Boat Attitude at the Base Nautique des Marquisats, is the biggest event of its kind in France.

PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS • Read and accept the rules • Be in good physical condition • Be able to swim 25 metres and immerse • Provide for each participant : - either a valid canoe or dragon boat sports licence. - or a medical certificate of no contraindication to the practice of Dragon Boat in competition dating less than one year. ATTENTION: the certificates will be rigorously controlled, in case of certificate not in conformity with the requirements imposed by the prefecture, the registration will be refused.
IMAGE RIGHTS By registering, each participant (or the legal guardian for minors) acknowledges that he/she authorises the taking of images and accepts the distribution of these images without any time limit by the organisers and their subcontractors on any medium. The organisers undertake, through the captions or comments on these publications, not to under- mine the dignity of the person represented, their private life or their reputation.
MINORS The registration must be accompanied by a parental authorization: I, the undersigned, ...... (Surname - first name) , legal guardian of ...... EQUIPMENT • Provided by the organisation: life jackets (must be worn), boats, paddles • What to bring : An outfit suitable for water sports (a change of clothes and a windbreaker are recommended in case of bad weather). - Preferably a T-shirt or top of the same colour for all team members. - Disguises, face painting, songs and hakas are welcome! • Changing rooms: changing rooms and toilets will be provided. The city of Annecy, the Canoe Kayak Club Annecy and Dragon Boat Attitude decline all responsibility in case of theft. TEAMS COMPOSITIONS FESTIVAL

TRAINING POSSIBILITIES Dragon Boat Training Sessions organised on Saturday 11 & 18 & 25 September 2021: You can book a training slot for your team (from 12 to 16 paddlers).
Location: Annecy Canoeing Club - Base nautique des Marquisats - Annecy Duration: 1h30 = 20 minutes of equipment and instructions, then navigation. Supervision: by a qualified helmsman. Price: 285 euros per team, including equipment, insurance and supervision. Reservation required: please contact Sylvain Munier. (see below) REGISTRATIONS PLEASE NOTE: Registration is fully online from Monday 21 June 2021 and until Wednesday 29 September 2021. - Link: to be communicated soon - Medical certificate or canoe or dragon boat sports licence, and parental authorisations to be scanned and attached. - Payment to be made online by credit card. Management of teams and registrations: Mail: [email protected] INTERNET REGISTRATION NOTICE • Firstly, the Team Manager needs to log on to the internet at the above address to open the regis- tration of his/her team. He will then obtain a password. • The Team Leader can then : - either register all the participants himself, and pay the total amount - or provide the internet address, the team name and the password to each participant, who will proceed individually with their registration and payment by credit card. The team manager will be informed by e-mail of these registrations. • Before any online registration, it is necessary to have : - a medical certificate or a scanned FFCK licence - For minors: the complete parental authorization signed and scanned - A credit card for online payment • By registering online, each participant acknowledges : - to have read and accepted the rules - being in good physical shape, being able to swim 25m and to immerse - authorize the taking of pictures and their diffusion • Registration will only be final once the documents have been validated by the organisation. A confirmation email will be sent to the participant and/or the Team Leader.
Saturday evening meal: Participants can reserve one or more meals at the time of their registration, or at a later stage by logging in to modify their registration. You can buy as many meals as you want, for your spouse, your children, your friends, your supporters, your fan club! Please note that if you make a mistake, it will not be possible to modify only the number of meals, but the whole registration will have to be cancelled and re-entered. The price of the meals is added to the registration fee, and must be paid online by credit card. The reserved meal tickets will be given to the Team Leader at the meeting.
Mandatory Team Managers’ Meeting on Saturday, 2 October 2021 at 11:00 in the meeting room of the Base nautique des Marquisats = presentation of the site and the schedule, safety and navigation instructions, handing over of the ordered meal tickets, various questions.
