This dissertation will serve as a unifying element in bringing the Armenians in the diaspora and in the homeland together through the power of music. The information collected for each piece includes instrumentation, duration, publisher information, and other details. This research will be beneficial for music students, conductors, orchestra managers, festival organizers, cultural event planning and those studying the influences of Armenian folk music in orchestral writing. It is especially intended to be useful in searching for music by Armenian composers for thematic and cultural programing, as it should aid in the acquisition of parts from publishers. Trust of this order has been earned through as much hard work as the scale and quality of completed projects. Despite the severe economic downturn that impacted Armenia and the rest of the world in 2010, the fund not only stayed the course, but went on to raise the bar in terms of fundraising objectives. The best pieces from more than 30 companies owned by our fellow nationals from Armenia and the Diaspora ("Estet", Bergio, Waskoll, Yessayan Jewellery and others) were on display at the Yerevan show. The AJA plans to hold similar exhibitions around the world, particularly in Las Vegas, Hong Kong, as well as in Russia and Italy. The globe-girdling AJA expects to launch new projects in cooperation with Armenia. -
