Arabic English b t th kh d dh r j z if S I cl C L gli 4-, f ii Arabic English L5 q k --A J cc t The vowels are mitten in flic following way: Long Vowels Short Vowels a Oanima u Kasra iii ABSTRACT The attention of scholars towards the protection of the Sunna, as a second primary sourcein Islamic law, startedfrom the early centuries. Among those scholarswas Abi7 Da7vvad,who was concerned in collecting the ffadffhs that discussedthe Prophet's Sunan,in a book which he namedSynan AT Da7vvi7d.The value of this book among tIadj7h books led scholars such as Al-ý'AynFto write commentaries on it, to create a body of in-depth organiseddiscussions of Fiqh rules. This thesis discusses part of Al-Aynrs Sharp on Sunan Abl" A&W regarding the rules on specific kinds of voluntary prayers, namely, voluntary prayers after obligatory prayer, Dubl§prayer, Tasbi-bprayer, and night prayer. A detailed discussion of the different opinions of the scholars, especially the four main Islamic schools of law, is presented, with each school's evidences, and the scholars' attempts to reconcile conflicting gadj7hs are also considered. Explanatorynotes are given on the scholarsand placesmentioned in the manuscript,as well as difficult vocabulary. A full account is given of the documentationof each gadffh in the manuscript. Al-Aynrs manuscript is set in its historical and cultural context in an introductory sectionon the author's life and the era in which he lives, the MamhlTepoch. Al-'Ayni'lived at the time of the Mamh7kf rule over Egypt, in which scholars were respectedand honoured. The Mamh7kffacilitated scholarshipby offering endowments, and building institutes of learning, so that cultural life flourished. Set against this, iv however, was a political backgroundof widespreadcorruption, in which bribery was commonplace. Al-Aynis life and the effect of the characteristicsof his epoch on his writings are discussed with an analysis of the style he adopted in writing his commentary, and the academicvalue of his manuscript. Devotion to a single school of law was common in the Mamh7klepoch. Al-. 4ynr followed the Hanaj.-t school of law and in his SharA his fanatical adherenceto the opinions of his school are evident. Nevertheless, his thorough, systematicapproach to his commentary, and comprehensivecoverage of historical, biographical, linguistic and juristic matters, make this work an important contribution to the Fiqh literature, which had a profound effect on subsequentscholarship. • Types of Prayers Summary
Salah Handout 2 Types of Prayers There are four types of Prayers: Fardh Sunnah Wajib Nawafil 1. Fardh Fardh is an Arabic world, which means compulsory or obligatory. The Five daily prayer i.e., Fajr, Dhuhr, 'Asr, Magrhib and 'Isha are obligatory prayers. It is a sin to intentionally skip a Fardh Prayer. If a prayer is missed because of forgetfulness or due to some unavoidable circumstances, then offering the missed Prayer as soon as possible will rectify this mistake. 2. Sunnah The Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, offered extra Raka'at of Prayer in addition to those of Fardh Prayers. These are called Sunnah Prayers. It is considered necessary by all jurists to offer these prayers. The willful neglect of Sunnah Prayers is censurable in the sight of Allah. Following are the Sunnah Prayers: a. Two Rak'at of Sunnah Prayer should be offered before the Fardh Prayer of Fajr. However, if a person joins the congregation without having offered Sunnah due to circumstances beyond his control, he can offer these after the Fardh prayer. b. Four Rak'at of Sunnah Prayer before Fardh and two Rak'at after the Fardh in Dhuhr Prayer. In case one is unable to perform four Rak'at Sunnah before the Fardh in Dhuhr Prayer, one should offer these after the congregational Fardh Prayer. (Note: Followers of Hanfi school of thought offer two Sunnat while some other Muslims offer four Sunnat after Fardh in Dhuhr Prayer.) c. Two Rak'at of Sunnah after the Fardh of Maghrib Prayer. d. Two Rak'at of Sunnah after the Fardh of 'Isha Prayer.

  • Fiqh 141 Notes
1 In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful All praise is due to Allah who perfected our religion and made our shari’ah the way to success in this world and the hereafter. Peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad (PBUH), who taught us by his instructions and his actions how to worship Allah (SWT) and practice this Deen in all affairs of life. May Allah be pleased with him, his family and companions, and their followers until the Last Day. By the grace of Allah (SWT), I wrote this abridged book to help the students of sacred knowledge in learning the fiqh of purification and prayer. Prayer is the first practical pillar of Islam after the testimony of faith, and it is the first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection. Purification is a condition of validity for the prayer and a trait of a believer. Allah (SWT) said: (Surely Allah loves those who always turn to Him in repentance and those who purify themselves), and the prophet (PBUH) said in the Hadith: Purity is half of iman (faith). In this book, I presented most of the sections of the books of purification and prayer as one may find them in the classical books of fiqh. The main text of the book is written in a simple and summarized way to help the reader to progress easily through it. The difference in opinion is mainly highlighted in the footnotes to give the reader a broader understanding of the different opinions in the several issues of fiqh.

  • Bab Iii Biografi Imam Empat Madzhab
BAB III BIOGRAFI IMAM EMPAT MADZHAB A. Latar Belakang Kehidupan Empat Imam Madzhab 1.

  • Eid Salah During Corona - Rulings - Description Compiled by Abu Abu Hurayrah Night of 28Th of Ramadaan, 1441H (May 21, 2020)
Eid Salah During Corona - Rulings - Description Compiled by Abu Abu Hurayrah Night of 28th of Ramadaan, 1441H (May 21, 2020) In the name of Allaah, ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem, and peace and blessings upon the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). Many of the noble brothers and sisters asked me to simply compile the pointers to understand the rulings and description of Eid prayer. Wherever I felt there were some explanations needed, I tried to elaborate hoping for more clarification for the readers. I divided the pointers into several headings below (hopefully) for easy reading and understanding. I ask Allaah to accept the reader’s enthusiasm and forgive my shortcomings. General Rulings pertinent to normal situation: a) Eid prayer is Fard ‘Ayn (individual obligation), this is based upon the authentic hadith of Umm Atiyyah where the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) commanded the women to come out to pray (those who are no menstruating) and witness (those who are menstruating) the supplication and prayer of the Muslims. This is the opinion of Imam Abu Haneefah, Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, Nawab Imam Siddique Hasan Khan, As-Shawkani and many scholars and chosen to be the position by Sheikh Al-’Allamah Al-Albani, Imam Ibn Baaz, Imam Ibn Uthaymeen, Imam Muqbil and others. May Allaah have Mercy on all of them. b) The beginning of the time Eid salah: around 20 minutes after Sunrise c) End time of Eid Salah: Should finish before Zawal (i.e. starting time of Dhuhr). d) Eid prayer doesn’t have any adhan and iqamah, neither any specific call like “Salaat al Jama’ah athaabakumullaah” etc..
