臨時封閉粉嶺公路北行temporary Closure of Fanling Highway Northbound 路政署合約編號 HY/2012/06 Issue No. 179 粉嶺公路擴闊工程-泰亨至和合石交匯處 第 179 號 Highways Department Contract No. HY/2012/06 Widening of Fanling Highway - Tai Hang to Wo Hop Shek Interchange 2019 年 6 月 June 2019 臨時封閉粉嶺公路北行 Temporary Closure of Fanling Highway northbound 為進行粉嶺公路北行的架空標誌架安裝工程 ， 由粉嶺公路與吐露港公路交界處起 ， 至掃管埔路迴旋處止的一段粉嶺公路北行將於 2019 年 6 月 18 日凌晨 1 時至上午 6 時全線封閉。 在道路封閉期間、沿吐露港公路北行、大埔太和路或大埔公路-大窩段北行前往上水 及元朗的車輛，須改經林錦公路交匯處、大窩西支路北行、和興路南行、迴旋處、華明路北行、百和路西行、掃管埔路北行、掃管埔 路迴旋處返回粉嶺公路北行。 沿吐露港公路北行或大埔公路-大窩段前往香園圍的車輛，須改經林錦公路交匯處、大窩西支路北行、和興路西行、馬會道北行、支路、 粉嶺公口路南行、支路、大窩東支路及香園圍公路北行。有關地點將會設置適當臨時交通輔助設施，駕駛人士請遵照現場指示，並小 心駕駛。 有關臨時全線封閉道路詳情如下 : 2019 年 6 月 18 日凌晨 1 時至上午 6 時 To facilitate the installation of sign gantry at Fanling Highway northbound, the section of Fanling Highway northbound from its junction with Tolo Highway to So Kwun Po Road roundabout will be temporarily closed from 01:00 a.m. to 06:00 a.m. on 18 June 2019. During the road closure period, affected vehicles on Tolo Highway northbound, Tai Po Tai Wo Road or Tai Po Road – Tai Wo Section northbound heading to Sheung Shui and Yuen Long will be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road southbound, roundabout, Wah Ming Road northbound, Pak Wo Road westbound, So Kwun Po Road northbound, So Kwun Po Road roundabout back to Fanling Highway northbound. For vehicles on Tolo Highway northbound or Tai Po Road – Tai Wo northbound heading for Heung Yuen Wai will also be diverted via Lam Kam Road Interchange, Tai Wo Service Road West northbound, Wo Hing Road westbound, Jockey Club Road northbound, slip road, Fanling Highway southbound, slip road, Tai Wo Service Road East and Heung Yuen Wai Highway northbound. Appropriate traffic aids will be erected on site. Motorists are advised to follow the instructions on site and drive in utmost care.     Cargo clearance facilities at Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point to open on August 26 (with photos) The Government today (August 21) announced that the Heung Yuen Wai (HYW) Boundary Control Point (BCP) will be commissioned on August 26. In view of the COVID-19 epidemic, both Guangdong and Hong Kong have agreed to open first the cargo clearance facilities for use by cross-boundary goods vehicles. "The opening ceremony for the new BCP will be held at Liantang Port in Shenzhen in the morning of August 26, while the cargo clearance facilities will open for cross-boundary goods vehicles from 4pm that day," a Government spokesman said. In view of the development of the epidemic, the new BCP will not be opened at this stage for Guangdong-Hong Kong cross-boundary private cars, cross-boundary coaches and cross-boundary hire cars under the regular quota, as well as passenger clearance services in order to reduce the flow of people between the Mainland and Hong Kong. The Liantang Port/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point is the seventh land-based control point at the Hong Kong-Shenzhen boundary. It is named HYW BCP in Hong Kong and Liantang Port in Shenzhen. At the initial stage of the commissioning of the HYW BCP, its operating hours for cargo clearance will be 7am to 10pm daily, which are in line with those of the adjacent Man Kam To and Sha Tau Kok BCPs. The spokesman said that the HYW BCP in Hong Kong is connected to the Heung Yuen Wai Highway, which was completed and opened last year, while the Liantang Port is connected to the Shenzhen Eastern Corridor.

It also summarizes the major views and concerns expressed by Legislative Council ("LegCo") Members on the project. Background 2. According to the Administration, at the time when the LT/HYW BCP project was announced for implementation in 2008,1 the overall distribution of cross-boundary vehicular traffic was mainly concentrated in the western part of the territory through the Shenzhen Bay Port and the Lok Ma Chau BCP. Owing to physical constraints, the two existing BCPs on the eastern side of the territory to access eastern Shenzhen and Guangdong, viz Man Kam To and Sha Tau Kok BCPs, could hardly be expanded to meet the anticipated future demand for cross-boundary traffic. LT/HYW BCP will connect with the Shenzhen Eastern Corridor in Shenzhen and provide an access to eastern Guangdong via the Shenzhen-Huizhou and Shenzhen-Shantou Expressways. It will shorten the travelling time between Hong Kong and eastern Guangdong, southern Fujian and Jiangxi. The LT/HYW BCP is designed to handle 30 000 passenger trips and 17 850 vehicle trips daily. 3.
