HOME AND SCHOOL NEWS:

Home and School Meeting: Our next Home and School meeting will be held Wednesday October 12th at 7PM in the Computer Room (not the library due to the book fair). Come and hear about what’s going on in the school!

Fall Fundraiser: We held the last set of Pig races October 7th, they were successful and students had fun.

Winners were: Preston Ames and Jack Nutter in 2nd grade. Tony Traggai and Fernando Cox in 4th. Jacob Goetz and Megan Kreps in 6th grade.

Top selling classes: 3rd place Kindergarten 2nd Place 1st Grade 1st Place and winners of the Ice cream party 2nd Grade

Thanks to everyone who participated. Delivery date is still scheduled for November 3rd. You will be able to pick up your items after school that day. All Items must be picked up that day. Volunteer Help Needed: Bridgett Laney, our school nurse, is looking for people to help with the Health Screenings on October 18th from 8:30 – noon. No health care experience is required. We are screening grades 1‐6 and 8th so we need all the help we can get! Please contact Heather Weddle at [email protected] or (402) 598‐5257.

Calling all chefs: Home and School is putting together a St. Mary’s cookbook! Start thinking about your favorite recipes and keep watching the Wednesday letter for details!!

Hyvee Smartboard: Hy‐Vee Smart Points began Saturday, October 1st and runs until noon on December 30th. 1. Target Points: Target has a great way for you to save 5% and donate 5% to St. Mary School just by shopping like you always do at Target. You need to have a Target Charge Card. Once you have the card, go on‐line to https://redcard.target.com/redcard/content/rcw_manage follow the instructions to assign St Mary School to your card. You only need to do this portion of it once. Once you have assigned the school to your card, all you need to do is Shop at Target with it. Every purchase you make a Target using your Target Card‐ you will automatically get 5% off your Receipt & they will then donate 5% of your receipt back to St. Mary's school. This is an awesome way to help earn money for St Mary as well as save some $$ for you. This is off anything in the store‐ no exclusions!
