I live in Duncan and we used to drive to Victoria at least three times a month for 15 years to go and dance and listen to great artists play great music in a positive environment. Since Hush has closed it's doors we have not been interested in going out in your great city since we aren't into being around rowdy drunks who cause problems and have no respect for others and the staff. It would also he great to have a venue that is not filled with a bunch of young people who are just out to get wasted and pick up someone for the night. That's why we drive all the way to Victoria to avoid that kind of atmosphere in Duncan. I believe the new location geared towards an older crowd is a space that is greatly needed in your city. Thank you for your time and consideration. I was a long time patron of Hush and I am very much looking forward to bringing my business to Infinity which I understand will be geared to a more adult, mature clientele . I feel there aren't many late night establishments downtown geared towards this demographic and I hope the city will take that into consideration. The venue @ the Strath - Clubhouse is too small, Thartkyou. i Mark Hayden From: Sharmeen Islam Sent: Saturday, Jan 31, 2015 10:05 PM To: Liquor Licence Email Subject: Infinite Liquor License I am very excited David is starting a more adult orientated establishment, Please transfer the liquor licence from Hush to Infinite. The victoria nightlife scene has been rather stale over the past years and the addition of a new Adult Oriented nightclub could breathe back some life into the club scene! Given the demographics of Sweetwaters I'm sure there will be very few problems of any kind so iin happy to offer my approval that the liquor license be transferred from Hush to this ftiture business. The bad news was tempered by the intention of the proprietors to move to a new location, INFINITE at Market Square. My wife and I used to go downtown for dinner often before a night out at HUSH, and since we no longer have dancing to look forward too, rarely go downtown. Victoria nightlife had in HUSH a venue for older, more mature clientele, who had very few incidents involving violence, or the need for police to attend. Other clubs in the city tend to be youth oriented and just don't have the same vibe as HUSH did. Hush had more of a community feel, which would transfer to Infiniti if given a chance. It is time to transfer the liquor licence from HUSH to INFINITI, one block away, and in the exact same neighborhood. Robert H. The lack of options over the past year has been disappointing and I really believe there needs to be more options, I look forward to a licence approval in the near future. Please let me know if there are any issues as I do not stand alone on this issue.
