Hari Raya Fact Sheet 2019 Hari Raya Fact Sheet 2019 1 HARI RAYA AT AIRASIA ● Peak travel period starts from 24 May - 10 June 2019 ● A total of 734 AirAsia Malaysia and 60 AirAsia X Malaysia flights will depart from our hubs in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Johor Bahru) on Hari Raya Aidilfitri (5 June 2019) ● AirAsia has also mounted 82,000 extra seats together with 45,000 extra seats for additional late night flights with fixed fares which equates to 127,000 extra seats in total to celebrate the festive season this year ● More than 1,000 pilots and 2,500 cabin crew, both short-haul (Carrier code AK) and long-haul (Carrier Code D7) will be on duty on Hari Raya Aidilfitri (5 & 6 June 2019) (flights from AirAsia hubs in Malaysia) ● This equates to 786 pilots and 1,572 cabin crew per day on AirAsia Malaysia flights (AK) and 234 pilots and 927 cabin crew on AirAsia X Malaysia flights (D7) ● A total of 380 Guests Service staff will be on duty during Hari Raya Aidilfitri period per day (5 & 6 June 2019) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (klia2) ● An average 50,000 guests are expected to depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) each day over the festive period ● AirAsia’s Fun Team who will be doing special Hari Raya performances on selected domestic flights between 1 June 2019 and 15 June 2019 2 TOP 5 DESTINATIONS FOR HARI RAYA 2019 AIRASIA MALAYSIA (FLIGHT CODE: AK) TOP 5 DOMESTIC ROUTES FROM TOP 5 INTERNATIONAL ROUTES FROM KUALA LUMPUR KUALA LUMPUR 1. Even with no prior airline experience, the dynamic duo transformed AirAsia from a two-aircraft startup into Asia's best and largest low- cost carrier by passengers carried and jet fleet. Fundamental to this success was Datuk Kamarudin’s vast experience in the financial industry and his leadership in setting the business direction, which paved the way for AirAsia to become one of the world's best airlines. On 6 November 2013, Datuk Kamarudin was appointed Executive Chairman of AirAsia Berhad, where he takes the lead in engaging with the government, aviation regulators and airport authorities of Malaysia. Before his designation as Executive Chairman, he was AirAsia Deputy Group CEO. In this paper, we consider how these critical success factors affect an organization. Organizational success becomes important for many companies because it is very difficult to reach it in this competitive world. This pushed the organizations to improve their structure, strategy and management, and AirAsia is not an exception. AirAsia is one of the biggest low-cost airlines in Asia. It was registered in 1993 but began its activities only in 1996. The Airline company was chosen as the best low-cost airline in the world according to Skytrax eleven times. However, there is still a need for changes and improvements for AirAsia to become better. The findings of this paper have important implications for the managers and practitioners.
