Press Release June 11, 2020 Renault Sport Academy drivers line-up for Virtual Grand Prix finale Renault DP World F1 Team will field an all-Renault Sport Academy driver line-up for this weekend’s Formula 1 Virtual Canadian Grand Prix with Guanyu Zhou and Caio Collet competing in the finale for the virtual racing series. Chinese driver Zhou will partner with Brazilian Caio as the pair look to build upon a strong set of results for the Academy in the series. To date, Academy members have secured one win and three podiums in the ultra-competitive series, which has allowed Formula 1 fans to continue watching racing throughout the race postponements. Zhou is no stranger to the Formula 1 virtual series having competed twice already, securing victory at the inaugural race in Bahrain and a podium finish at his home Grand Prix in China against several current F1 drivers. On the other side of the garage team-mate Caio, last year’s Best Rookie in Formula Renault Eurocup, makes his debut on the official F1 game. Both will be practicing and racing from Renault DP World F1 Team’s UK base in Enstone, where they have been preparing for their respective junior racing seasons to begin. This season Zhou is due to compete for UNI-Virtuosi in FIA Formula 2, and Caio for R-ACE GP in Formula Renault Eurocup. Representing Renault Vitality for the Exhibition Race (17:00 BST) prior to the Virtual Grand Prix (18:00 BST), will be once again Frenchman Nicolas Longuet and Chilean Fabrizio Donoso. Guanyu Zhou: “It’s good to be back for the final round of the Formula 1 Virtual Grand Prix series. The last two races for me were obviously great results, taking a podium in China and race win in Bahrain, so I’m looking to build on that this weekend with Caio alongside me. I’ve been training hard recently and focusing on my return to racing soon, so it’ll be good to cap the virtual series off with another strong performance.” Caio Collet: “I’m very excited to be a part of the final Virtual Grand Prix and looking forward to working with Zhou as my team-mate for the race. He’s already shown his skills on the game after he won one of the races in the series and then secured a podium in his other race, so it’ll be useful to use his knowledge of the game as it’s my first time using the official F1 game. Nu hedder det Alpine Academy, og er en del af den Alpine organisation, der som spydspids har Alpine F1 Team. Christian Lundgaard er netop præsenteret som Alpine Academy driver Sidste sæson sluttede ikke så godt som Christian Lundgaard kunne ønske sig. De sidste par løb i Bahrain gik ikke helt efter planen, og han måtte se langt efter en podieplacering i Formel 2 mesterskabet. Men nu skriver vi 2021 og Christian er igen klar til at kæmpe om podiet - og der er store forventninger til ham. Alpine F1 Team har netop lanceret ham og fire andre til Alpine Acadamy. Christian Lundgaard får i denne sæson følgeskab af Guanyu Zhou, Oscar Piastri og Caio Collet, der alle også kørte sidste sæson – mens Victor Martins er ny mand ombord. Renault Sport Academy Mid-Season Newsletter Renault Sport Academy Mid-Season Newsletter For 2019, the Renault Sport Academy – now in its fourth season - took on four new recruits as Chinese drivers Guanyu Zhou and Yifei Ye, Frenchman Anthoine Hubert and Brazilian teenager Caio Collet all joined the programme. Reigning Formula Renault Eurocup champion Max Fewtrell, Eurocup runner- up Christian Lundgaard and Victor Martins were retained from the 2018 intake. Guanyu and Anthoine entered the FIA Formula 2 Championship as rookies, joining Renault F1 Team Test Driver Jack Aitken – an Academy graduate for 2019 – in the primary Formula 1 feeder category. Max, Christian and Yifei stepped up from the Eurocup to the newly formed FIA Formula 3 Championship, formerly GP3, with Max and Christian as team- mates with Team’s Champions ART Grand Prix. Victor remained in the Eurocup with French Formula 4 Champion Caio joining him in the series. Leonardo Lorandi became Renault Sport Racing’s second-ever Affiliate Driver, announced during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, and was placed in the Eurocup. FORMULA 2 Guanyu Zhou entered the 2019 season after back-to-back eighth place finishes in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He signed with the Academy in 2019 alongside his role as Development Driver for Renault F1 Team. Racing for UNI-Virtuosi, Guanyu sits sixth in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, also occupying the spot as top rookie. Guanyu made a bright start to the year in Bahrain, finishing tenth in race one and a superb fourth in race two. That was followed by disappointment in Baku, but since then, Guanyu has been a regular top six points scorer.

PRESS RELEASE 1 August 2019 2019 Formula 1 Rolex Hungarian Grand Prix, Factfile Renault F1 Team is in Budapest for the twelfth race of the 2019 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the Rolex Hungarian Grand Prix. The Circuit • The Hungarian Grand Prix has been a regular on the Formula 1 calendar since 1986 with all 33 races to date hosted at the Hungaroring Circuit, located 20km from the capital city of Budapest. • Over 26% of a lap of the Hungaroring is spent braking; the most of all circuits on the 2019 calendar. • Drivers will brake for almost 80km on race day, almost double of that in Hockenheim last weekend, which was close to 40km. Renault History • Hungarian racing driver Ferenc Szisz won the first ever Grand Prix in a Renault AK 90CV in 1906. The race took place in the French Grand Prix at Le Mans with Szisz winning with an average speed of 62.9mph. • Renault has powered eight wins at the Hungaroring. The first was in 1990 courtesy of Thierry Boutsen before Renault-engined cars took four wins from five Hungarian Grands Prix between 1993 and 1997. • Damon Hill won his first Formula 1 race in 1993 and also took victory in 1995. Jacques Villeneuve then triumphed back-to-back in 1996 and 1997. Fernando Alonso also claimed his first Formula 1 victory in 2003 before Mark Webber won in 2010.
