After a successful campaign in the LMP2 category, Alpine is stepping up in the Hypercar category for the 2021 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship. • LAUNCH OF THE ALPINE X PANTONE COLLABORATION, MARCH 22ND. Felipe Pantone is an Argentinian-Spanish artist. He started doing graffiti at the age of 12. Pantone’s work deals with dynamism, transformation, digital revolution, and themes related to the present times. • BAHRAIN F1 GRAND PRIX, MARCH 28TH. The Bahrain F1 Grand Prix kick starts the 2021 F1 World Championship RECAP OF FEBRUARY NEWS • ALPINE F1 TEAM FILMING DAY (03/03/2021) A one-day session at Silverstone dedicated to creating footage of the A521 and Esteban Ocon for media usage. Link to the photo library • DANIIL KVYAT JOINS ALPINE F1 TEAM AS RESERVE DRIVER (02/03/2021) Alpine F1 Team is pleased to confirm Daniil Kvyat will join as Reserve Driver. Twenty-six-year-old Daniil, from Ufa, Russia, brings a wealth of recent F1 experience, including 110 race starts, 202 points, three podiums and one fastest lap over six seasons’ racing with Alpha Tauri, Scuderia Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing. Daniil joins race drivers Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, alongside Test Driver Guanyu Zhou. Link to the press release • ALPINE F1 TEAM LAUNCHES 2021 CAMPAIGN (02/03/2021) Alpine F1 Team officially heralded its new era today by virtually launching its first ever entry into the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. This year’s competitor, the A521, boasts a striking livery of blue, white and red which is synonymous to Alpine’s heritage and pedigree in motorsports. Link to the press release / Link to the Youtube video • ALPINE RACING S.A.S RENEWS ITS CONFIDENCE IN MECACHROME (23/02/2021) The French group Mecachrome, specialised in precision mechanics, and Alpine Racing s.a.s have signed a structuring contract for the manufacture of major parts and the assembly of the V6 engines that will equip Alpine's F1 cars on the track. Link to the press release • ALPINE A110 WINS "BEST CAR 2021" AWARD BY AUTO, MOTOR UND SPORT (11/02/2021) Third victory in a row: the Alpine A110 once again wins the prestigious "Best Car 2021" award. Readers of the German magazine "Auto, motor und sport" voted the Alpine A110 the winner in the "sports car" category. The readers' survey took place for the 45th time. Participants were able to vote for their favourite car in eleven categories. Link to the press release • THE ALPINE ACADEMY UNVEILS ITS CLASS OF 2021 (10/02/2021) The Renault Sport Academy becomes the Alpine Academy in line with the new identity of the Formula 1 team and sees its drivers Guanyu Zhou, Christian Lundgaard, Oscar Piastri and Caio Collet retained for 2021. Link to the press release FOCUS ON THE ALPINE F1 TEAM LAUNCH On March 2nd, Alpine F1 Team outlined the strategic vision of its F1 engagement, starting with the 2021 season of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship campain. During this announcement, the team and livery of the car were also unveiled. • The A521 features Alpine’s illustrious and historic racing colours of blue, white and red, which also represent the colours of the French and British flags. • Esteban Ocon was presented in team colours for the first time. • Alongside Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi and Executive Director Marcin Budkowski was newly recruited Racing Director Davide Brivio. • AlpineGuanyu F1 ZhouTeam retains highlighted his role its valuedas support from premium partners: bp Castrol, MAPFRE, DuPont, Microsoft,the team’s EURODATACAR, Test Driver in 2021.
