Nordisk Förare Debuterar I Alpine Academy Christian Lundgaard, Alpine Academy förare 2021-02-11 09:10 CET Nordisk förare debuterar i Alpine Academy Renault Sport Academy byter namn till Alpine Academy och blir en del av Alpines motorsportverksamhet i anslutning till Alpines F1 Team. Den danske föraren Christian Lundgaard ingår i förarteamet. Alpine F1 Team presenterar sina Academy-förare för 2021. Ungdomsprogrammet går in på sitt sjätte år med fem starka förarprofiler. Victor Martins är det senaste tillskottet till programmet och går sida vid sida med Christian Lundgaard, Guanyu Zhou, Oscar Piastri och Caio Collet som blir kvar i programmet ytterligare ett år. Danske Christian Lundgaard, som bara är 19 år gammal, gör sin femte säsong med Academy-programmet - vilket gör honom till den förare som har varit med längst. Detta är Christians andra säsong i Formel 1-seriens ART Grand Prix, som är huvudsupportklass för F1. Under debuten imponerade han med två segrar och fyra pallplatser. Guanyu Zhou går in på sitt tredje år i Formel 2 och som del i Alpine Academy och stannar hos UNI-Virtuosi Racing under 2021 efter att ha tagit sin första serieseger förra året i Ryssland. Därmed blev den nu 21-åriga Zhou den första kinesiska föraren att vinna ett internationellt formelbilslopp. Den tredje förare i Formel 2 är Oscar – regerande FIA Formel 3 mästaren – som debuterar i klassen hos regerande mästarna PREMA Racing. I fjol säkrade 19-åringen Formel 3 titeln genom bland annat två segrar och fyra pallplatser. Academy-uppställningen kompletteras med fjolårets Renault Eurocup mästare Victor och serietvåan Caio. De tidigare rivalerna tävlar nu sida vid sida hos MP Motorsport. Victor, som var en del av programmet redan 2018, återvänder till Academy efter sin seger i Eurocup. Formel 2-säsongen 2021 börjar i Bahrain i slutet av mars - tillsammans med Formel 1-kalendern. Alpine Academy Director, Mia Sharizman säger om den kommande säsongen. ”Akademin går in i en mycket viktig fas sedan vi startade programmet 2016. På pappret har vi i år en rad mycket erfarna förare med 17 segrar och två mästerskap tillsammans. Vi har tre mycket konkurrenskraftiga förare i Formel 2 i år - och de har alla bevisat att de kan vinna. Vi har höga förväntningar på Christian, som i år kan få köra i mästerskapet, efter att han visade stor potential förra säsongen.” Laurent Rossi, vd för Alpine Cars, säger: ”Vi är stolta över att tillkännage akademiens sjätte säsong - och den första i regi av nya Alpine Racing. Att ha ett ungt förarprogram är en del av vårt DNA. Målet med akademin är att utveckla våra unga förare så att de kan få en plats i vårt F1- team - och i slutändan vinna mästerskap. Meanwhile, Drugovich was bumped down to third by Ticktum, although the Carlin driver remained half a second off Piastri. After a stint in the pits for fresh rubber, the field returned to the track with just a second separating the top 12. Piastri couldn’t make any improvements on his quickest time, but neither could his rivals, with the Australian retaining his half a second buffer in first. Zhou was left thanking his lucky stars as the UNI-Virtuosi racer crossed the line just moments before a Red Flag ended the session.

Nu hedder det Alpine Academy, og er en del af den Alpine organisation, der som spydspids har Alpine F1 Team. Christian Lundgaard er netop præsenteret som Alpine Academy driver Sidste sæson sluttede ikke så godt som Christian Lundgaard kunne ønske sig. De sidste par løb i Bahrain gik ikke helt efter planen, og han måtte se langt efter en podieplacering i Formel 2 mesterskabet. Men nu skriver vi 2021 og Christian er igen klar til at kæmpe om podiet - og der er store forventninger til ham. Alpine F1 Team har netop lanceret ham og fire andre til Alpine Acadamy. Christian Lundgaard får i denne sæson følgeskab af Guanyu Zhou, Oscar Piastri og Caio Collet, der alle også kørte sidste sæson – mens Victor Martins er ny mand ombord.     Renault Sport Academy Mid-Season Newsletter Renault Sport Academy Mid-Season Newsletter For 2019, the Renault Sport Academy – now in its fourth season - took on four new recruits as Chinese drivers Guanyu Zhou and Yifei Ye, Frenchman Anthoine Hubert and Brazilian teenager Caio Collet all joined the programme. Reigning Formula Renault Eurocup champion Max Fewtrell, Eurocup runner- up Christian Lundgaard and Victor Martins were retained from the 2018 intake. Guanyu and Anthoine entered the FIA Formula 2 Championship as rookies, joining Renault F1 Team Test Driver Jack Aitken – an Academy graduate for 2019 – in the primary Formula 1 feeder category. Max, Christian and Yifei stepped up from the Eurocup to the newly formed FIA Formula 3 Championship, formerly GP3, with Max and Christian as team- mates with Team’s Champions ART Grand Prix. Victor remained in the Eurocup with French Formula 4 Champion Caio joining him in the series. Leonardo Lorandi became Renault Sport Racing’s second-ever Affiliate Driver, announced during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, and was placed in the Eurocup. FORMULA 2 Guanyu Zhou entered the 2019 season after back-to-back eighth place finishes in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He signed with the Academy in 2019 alongside his role as Development Driver for Renault F1 Team. Racing for UNI-Virtuosi, Guanyu sits sixth in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, also occupying the spot as top rookie. Guanyu made a bright start to the year in Bahrain, finishing tenth in race one and a superb fourth in race two. Un anno che ricorderemo anche per il ritorno del Gran Premio di Formula 1 a Imola all’autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. Per la prima volta il format di gara si svolgerà in due giorni - anziché in tre come è stato a Monza e Mugello - in una stagione insolita, alle porte dell’inverno, e anche questa volta, “Leoni”, noi ci saremo, fieri di esserci, oltreché in servizio pista, testimoni storici di questi importanti cambiamenti nel motorsport. So quanto quest’anno sia impegnativo per tutti noi. Da luglio operiamo senza sosta su nastri di asfalto e terreni sterrati di tanti tracciati, con compiti di grande responsabilità, che richiedono grande attenzione e la messa in opera di tutte le nostre energie.
