After the fi rst two years at La Conca (featuring two events), a single event has been confi rmed for 2017 at last year’s venue: the Adria Karting Raceway. Quindi, nell’ordine, ci si sposterà a Castelletto di Branduzzo, Muro Leccese e Sarno. 2017 SEASON A YEAR OF WSK Following well-established tradition, the 2017 season by WSK Promotion confi rms all the events that have marked international karting in recent years: from the Champions Cup to the Master Series and Final Cup; from the CIK-FIA World Championships to the multi-round European Championships. As for the single-seaters, the fourth edition of the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth is set to start. E per le monoposto, è pronta a prendere il via la quarta edizione dell’Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth. 2 CHAMPIONS CUP 2017 SUPER MASTER SERIES 2017 3 Ten months after the “start”, WSK Promotion is back at Adria for the double event of the Final Cup. Now in its seventh edition (the fourth at Adria, after the debut at Ortona and the two years at Castelletto di Branduzzo), the series will be held over two consecutive weekends and, as always, it will be the last chance for all the drivers to make their mark on the international karting season.     Friday 16 July 2021 Piastri dominates in Silverstone to take maiden pole Oscar Piastri became the fourth different polesitter in as many rounds with a dominant performance at Silverstone, setting the fastest lap of the session in the first stint, before a Robert Shwartzman crash brought out a Red Flag and ended Qualifying prematurely. Championship leader Guanyu Zhou snuck into second with a late lap but was 0.221s off Piastri’s poletime of 1:39.854. MP Motorsport’s Richard Verschoor scored his best Qualifying position with third, just over four-tenths off the leader. Christian Lundgaard escorted the field out onto a hot and sunny Silverstone circuit, with a track temperature of 42 degrees. Lapping at 1:40.962, Felipe Drugovich led the first round of fast runs, beating Dan Ticktum’s Free Practice topping time by more than a second. There was enough life left in the medium Pirellis for another flyer and Piastri was determined to make the most of it, lunging to first with 1:39.854. Meanwhile, Drugovich was bumped down to third by Ticktum, although the Carlin driver remained half a second off Piastri. After a stint in the pits for fresh rubber, the field returned to the track with just a second separating the top 12. Piastri couldn’t make any improvements on his quickest time, but neither could his rivals, with the Australian retaining his half a second buffer in first. Zhou was left thanking his lucky stars as the UNI-Virtuosi racer crossed the line just moments before a Red Flag ended the session.

    CRG RACING TEAM FIA AWARDED THE STRONGEST PAIRING IN THE WORLD MADE BY CRG Jorrit Pex received the trophy for the victory of the KZ World Championship at the yearly FIA Prize Giving ceremony. Former CRG driver Max Verstappen received three prizes for his brilliant F1 season. The yearly FIA Prize Giving Ceremony held on 4th December in Paris celebrated the 2015 champions. The young Dutch driver of CRG Jorrit Pex, 22 years old, got on the stage at the Lido on the Champs-Elysèes to receive the FIA 2015 trophy for his stunning victory of the KZ World Championship in Le Mans on 13th September. Three awards were also given in Paris to the other Dutch enfant prodige Max Verstappen, 18 years old, who has been Jorrit Pex’s team mate at CRG until 2013 before becoming the Formula 1 rising star with Toro Rosso. Max Verstappen was celebrated for his excellent first F1 season receiving the FIA Personality of the Year (prize decided by a panel of journalists), the Rooky of the Year award (decided by the FIA Drivers Commission led by Emerson Fittipaldi) and he also was given the Action of the Year trophy, prize decided by fans for the best race action that he already received in 2014 for his great Formula 3 season. In 2013 Max Verstappen already won the Driver of the Year by WSK Promotion trophy for the victory, with CRG at 15 years of age, of the KZ World Championship, KF European Championship, KZ European Championship, WSK Euro Series KZ1 and WSK Master Series KZ2, all in the same year.
