RO Partner universities recognise your successful completion of the RO programme through their admissions processes.

For successfully completing the RO programme, all RO Partner universities will give your application additional consideration when you apply to them through UCAS. They also give RO offers worth up to two A level grades (or equivalent) lower than the standard offer.

However it is important to note that recognition can vary at the RO Partner universities and there may be some course exemptions. You should read each of the university statements on the following pages so you can understand what this means for you.

Research Intensive Universities

One of the aims of the RO programme is to support you to make an informed choice about your future by highlighting the benefits of research intensive universities (RIUs). All of the RO universities are RIUs. This means they have:

• Leading academics and tutors, who are experts in their field.

• Vibrant learning environments where new discoveries are being • made and problems are solved.

• Cutting edge facilities thanks to the investment associated with research.

• Top careers guidance and strong links with business.

• World-renowned reputations which are highly valued by employers.

I loved being a part of the RO programme - it gave me access to so much more information and guidance for university.
