    HP Consumer Notebook EEPROM Utility Introduction & Instructions Introduction to the HP EEPROM utility for service EEPROM utilities (also called DMI or Tattoo utilities) are used in service to program product information and set configuration options on the replacement motherboard. It is crucial for system functionality that these options are configured correctly and match the factory settings of customer’s original motherboard. If the configuration is incorrect the system may not successfully be able to reload an image and/or the customer may not have the same functions/features/applications as before motherboard replacement. Incorrect product information and settings may also affect customer’s ability to recover their system using the customer created recovery media or their option to be automatically guided through the hp.com web site to get appropriate support documentations/solutions This combined EEPROM tool is compatible with all new projects released in 2c08 and onwards, but is not backwards compatible with previous product releases (they will still need to be programmed using the older individual EEPROM tools). Updated EEPROM utilities release each cycle to include new product releases and/or new product features needing EEPROM configuration. Repair partners should check their sources for updated tools at least every cycle. These utilities are the proprietary information of the Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) and its suppliers. Use of these utilities are subject to HP’s standard confidential disclosure agreement and should be treated as “HP Confidential’. Thank you for joining us this morning. Welcome to the 2015 Hewlett Packard Securities Analyst Meeting. Before we get started, I just wanted to go over what you should expect to see today. In a few moments, Meg will be on stage and she will discuss the journey HP has been on and what the separation will enable Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. to do. She’ll then dive into the strategy, market focus, and priorities for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and provide an overview of our cloud strategy. After that, we’ll go over the different business units. Mike Nefkens will present Enterprise Servicers; Robert Youngjohns will cover Software; followed by Antonio Neri’s presentation of the Enterprise Group. So that will take to about 12:20. We’ll break for lunch and reconvene here at about 1 o’clock for Tim Stonesifer, CFO, to cover our Financial Overview, and give guidance for 2016, and that will be followed by a Management Q&A Session. After the Q&A, we’ll have about an hour break and HP Inc. will start their meeting at 3 o’clock. Innovation is not something that can be driven sole- ly from the top or from a single organization. It must become ingrained in the very fabric of the culture. Each member of the organization should be encouraged and empowered to look for creative solutions to customer, product, or business challenges and opportunities. I’m excited that this issue speaks to not only the “what” of innovation but the “how.” How designing for innovations is approached in the business strategy we implore, the culture we foster, the partnerships we establish, and the world class products we create. Each issue preserves a snapshot of a company that lives and breathes the credo, “Keep Reinventing.” Each issue brings in new authors, with new ex- amples of retooling and reimagining processes all over the company.
