S.E / JOHN WALKER, 1 SOUTH MOLTON ST, LONDON surrounded by a cast brass bezel with thick bevel edged glass. A small scratch to the front surface of glass is barely visible. In use at the Electrical Repair Shops, Slade Green, the movement back plate is hand engraved J. SMITH & SONS, CLERKENWELL, 1914. The rear of the dovetail jointed box is stamped 1634. S.E and the side door carries an original brass identification plate 1634. The pendulum bob is also stamped 1634. Retaining all original features and impressive railway branding this stunning wall clock runs well. Comes complete with the original cast brass key. Decommissioned 01/02/1945 and in 1947 she ran aground under tow on rocks near Prussia Cove, Cornwall and was broken up on site 1950 to 1957.
