Please plan to arrive in advance and bring your E-Ticket Itinerary/Receipt with you.

$2 PRESERVATION FEE DGVR is implementing a $2/per person preservation fee for the 2019 season that covers the cost of major track and equipment rehabilitation efforts. DGVR is responsible for maintaining the locomotives and equipment you enjoy. Funds generated from this fee directly benefit new and exciting rail preservation projects that you can enjoy. The $2 fee applies to paid passengers only. Children ages 3 and under who may ride free are not charged the $2 reservation fee.

ELKINS If you are scheduled to ride the New Tygart Flyer, Mountain Explorer Dinner Train, THE POLAR EXPRESS™, or all-day Cheat Mountain Salamander, please check in at our Elkins, WV, depot prior to boarding. Ticket office is located in the Rail & Trail Store, on the first floor of the Elkins depot.

The ELKINS boarding area is adjacent to the depot in the center of town at 315 Railroad Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241. FREE PARKING for all railroad patrons is located one block north of the depot adjacent to the Railyard Restaurant and across from the Holiday Inn Express. Follow the signs. Restrooms are available inside the depot.

CHEAT BRIDGE If you are scheduled to ride the Cheat Mountain Salamander from Cheat Bridge to Old Spruce, please check in at our CHEAT BRIDGE boarding station. Cheat Bridge is located on US 250 between Huttonsville and Durbin. From Huttonsville, continue on US 250 south for approximately 14 miles. Once you cross the bridge and railroad tracks, look for the first road on the right. Take this gravel road which is marked with a Cheat Mountain Salamander sign. Follow this road across the tracks, look to your left and you will see the loading platform. Guests must walk up steps to board the Cheat Mountain Salamander. Restrooms are available at the boarding station and on-board the train.

DURBIN If you are scheduled to ride the Durbin Rocket, please check in at the Rail & Trail Store across the street from the Depot in Durbin, prior to boarding. The DURBIN boarding area is adjacent to the depot in downtown Durbin. FREE PARKING is located in gravel lot next to depot. Passengers must be checked in at the Rail & Store located at 4759 Staunton Parkersburg TNPK, Durbin, WV 26264. Restrooms are available inside the depot.

CASS If you are scheduled to ride the Cass Scenic Railroad, please check in at the ticket office located in the Cass Depot. The Cass boarding area is the building nearest to the railroad tracks located between the parking lot and the Cass company store. FREE parking is located in the large lot across from the depot. Cass Scenic Railroad is accessible by State Route 28/92N between Dunmore and Green Bank in Pocahontas County. An 11-mile connector, WV Route 66, links the town of Cass to U.S. 219 at Slatyfork.
