Die Punkte für Best in Show errechnen sich durch die pro Kategorie und Ausstellung im Katalog befindlichen Katzen, gebrochen durch die Gesamtzahl der im Katalog befindlichen Katzen ohne die Würfe. Dieser Wert wird dann mit 500 multipliziert. Es erfolgt eine mathematische Rundung der Punkte (bis 0,499 ab- und ab 0,5 aufgerundet). Die Punkte für BOS sind halbiert. Bei Kategorienzusammenfassung werden die jeweiligen Punkte addiert. Die Katzen von KKÖ-Mitgliedern können in den folgenden Kategorien AUSTRIAN WINNER werden: (jeweils getrennt in ordentliche und fördernde Mitglieder) Austrian Winner Alle erhaltenen Bewertungen einer Katze auf KKÖ-Shows des Kalenderjahres. Es freut uns natürlich alle, dass Ihre Wahl auf eine Rassekatze gefallen ist, mit der Sie viele schöne Stunden verbringen werden. Doch bedenken Sie eines, der Kauf einer Katze ist nicht zu vergleichen mit dem Kauf eines Fernsehers; es handelt sich hier um ein Lebewesen mit Gefühlen und man muss von einem Durchschnittsalter von 10-15 Jahren ausgehen. Das bedeutet ganz einfach, wenn Sie einem nicht mehr gefällt, kann man Sie nicht einfach umtauschen wie einen vielleicht zu kleinen Anzug. Weiters sind die Erhaltungskosten einer Katze zu bedenken, die monatlich je nach Ernährung zwischen € 40 - 80 betragen. Zusätzlich kommen dann noch die Tierarztkosten für eine jährliche Auffrischungsimpfung im Bereich des Katzenschnupfens und Katzenseuche, wie auch der Katzenleukose (Katzen-AIDS). Wenn Ihre Katze Freilauf hat, ist eine Tollwutimpfung unumgänglich.
