MSS: 316 Title: Mary Ann Varner Collection Bulk Dates: 18th and 19th Century Inclusive Dates: 1900’s-2000’s Description: 39 boxes containing 994 files. The major portion of the collection is on the Gallaway/Galloway, Stone, and Frauenfelter families. From file 955 onward, the files contain a random mix of different surnames and documents. There was a box that was full of misplaced files that didn’t already have a spot in the collec- tion (they needed placement). Those that could be merged into the rest of the collection were put there, but the rest were put near the end of the collection. That is why the order seems out of place compared to the rest of the collection. There are also five notebooks and there is one box full of photographs. Organization: Two names separated by a comma in a file name are generally considered to be a husband and wife in this col- lection arrangement.
