A full list of changes is listed below – this includes the closure of the A14 westbound exit slip at Bar Hill (junction 29), which is particularly important to note if you currently use this exit slip road to leave the A14.

On Thursday 7 November, the second of the new bridges will open, meaning the new roundabout at Bar Hill will be fully operational.

From 5am on Monday 11 November, the following changes will be in place: • A14 westbound entry slip at (junction 30) closes • A14 westbound exit slip at Bar Hill (junction 29) closes • A14 eastbound entry slip at Oakington (junction 30) closes • The local road between Bar Hill and Oakington will become two-way • A14 eastbound entry slip at Bar Hill (junction 29) will open from new roundabout

• If you wish to access the westbound A14 from Oakington and Dry Drayton you can either travel west along the new two-way local road to junction 29 (Bar Hill) and join from there, or travel east along the local road past the Crematorium and join the westbound A14 via the Girton entry slip.

For travel on the eastbound A14 • If you wish to join the eastbound A14 from Oakington and Dry Drayton, travel west along the local road, then turn right onto the ‘jug handle’ to join the eastbound A14 via the new entry slip road from junction 29 (Bar Hill).
