Serie Crónicas en blanco y negro I. Mixed media on cardboard 100 x 70 cms. 2013 Serie Crónicas en blanco y negro III. Mixed media on cardboard 100 x 70 cms. 2013 In my work I try to overlay images with different micro worlds.

The images don’t have a horizon line and fly in the two-dimensional surface searching relevance in front of the audience. In one moment or in this moment many things happen, a kid has been born, other has been dying, a river has been overflowing, the night has been falling and I try to capture all these events in my work, reflecting it in a conceptual way.

I don’t develop a static image neither a lineal composition because I feel that I limit the level of spontaneity. I use the techniques of drawing, collage, painting and engraving.

Drawing and collage prevail in my work because I can give a more dramatic vision of it thanks to the ink or the pencil, and with the collage I can express with more freedom and originality when I try to capture the world and materialises it in my work through images.

I am developing mono-issue series like Thousand-year Fable and Aquatic Nature. In both I try to make a poetic and narrative description of the events that happened, like the Horror Chronicles on the 11· M slaughter in Madrid.

Habana series based on the longing of the Caribbean island, where I was born, which is implicit in all my work.

To create there are no limits, we can do what we want...
