The Ateneo de Manila is a Catholic university that is more than 150 years old. It offers education centered on a liberal arts program that is distinctly Filipino, Catholic and Jesuit. Its thrust of forming men for others is ingrained in its graduates, many of whom have helped shape, and continue to shape, the country’s history, culture, politics, and economy. The Ateneo de Manila University is one of the best private universities in the Philippines and a first‐rate university in Asia. It stands out because of its strong liberal arts tradition and its commitment to service and excellence. It offers reputable major programs in science and engineering, social sciences, humanities and management, with English as the primary medium of instruction. Moreover, the university prides itself in its multicultural environment and global outlook. The Ateneo is also one of the few quiet, tree‐lined campuses in Metro Manila, which makes for a peaceful environment conducive to learning, contemplation, and relaxation. It is a peaceful and green campus situated in proximity to the comforts of the city—restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops, malls, banks, supermarkets, public transportation, and more. History The Spanish Jesuits established the Ateneo de Manila in 1859 in Intramuros, Manila. It was then Escuela Municipal de Manila, a public primary school. It changed its name to Ateneo Municipal de Manila in 1865, the same time it was elevated to secondary

The project is composed of the following components; Component 1: Maintenance of Phase I facility for the period from the signing of Toll Concession Agreements (TCA) to Issuance of Toll Operation Certificate (TOC) Component 2: Design, Finance with Government Financial Support (GFS), Build and Transfer of Phase II facility and Necessary Repair/Improvement of Phase I facility. Component 3: Operation and Maintenance of Phase I and Phase II facilities. 5.1.2 Minimum Expressway Configuration of Phase II 1) Expressway Alignment Phase II starts at the end point of Phase I (Coordinate: North = 1605866.31486, East 502268.99378), runs over Sales Avenue, Andrews Avenue, Domestic Road, NAIA (MIA) Road and ends at Roxas Boulevard/Manila-Cavite Coastal Expressway (see Figure 5.1.2-1). 2) Ramp Layout Five (5) new on-ramps and five 5) new off-ramps and one (1) existing off-ramp are provided as shown in Figure 5.1.2-1. In the first part of the tour, visit Rizal Park and Monument-One of Manila’s most important landmark and pay homage to our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Proceed to Intramuros - walled city of Manila, where the seat of government during the Spanish Colonial Period is situated. Visit Fort Santiago - oldest and most important fortification during the Spanish rule, Manila Cathedral - seat of the archdiocese of Manila, San Agustin Church - Old Catholic Church in the Philippines and UNESCO world heritage site and Casa Manila-museum that features Spanish era ilustrado house. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we proceed to the second part of the tour. Visit Manila American Cemetery, pay homage to WWII heroes, pass by Forbes Park - Manila’s millionaires’ row. And proceed on a driving tour of Bonifacio Global City - Manila’s emerging ultra-modern urban center. We then proceed to Ayala Malls in Makati City for free time shopping.
