Seva Dal, setup in 1923 by Pandit and Dr.N.S Hardikar, is modelled on the principles of truth and non-violence and based on Gandhian Ideology. Congress Seva Dal’s foundation of patriotism is based on secularism, tolerance and pluralism. Its emphasis is on nation building and of service to the country. The main aim is to spread message of peace, secularism and patriotism for which has always fought and stood for. Last 5 Maha Adhiveshan of Seva Dal have been held in 1958,1961,1983,1984 and 1989. 6th Maha Adhiveshan is being held after 30 years. Seva Dal’s Nationwide volunteers are participating in 2 day Maha Adhiveshan on 13,14th February 2019 at “Sathyagraha Chhavni”, Kayad Vishranth Sthali, Ajmer, Rajasthan.

Some of the High Lights of the Maha Adhiveshan would be as follows: - In the year of Gandhi 150, reflect on various values Gandhi ji wanted to imbibe in the country and ensure grassroot level programs are developed for the entire year to engage in all parts of the country so that we celebrate Gandhi 150 in its true sense

- Garner support from Seva Dal Volunteers, fellow Congressmen and like- minded people to fight fascist and corrupt forces in the country and ensure Gandhian ideology is flourishes in the country

With all the Seva Cadre at one place, it’s a great opportunity for the leadership to create a unified mission on various welfare and reform issues country is facing that need focus and attention from Seva Dal Volunteers. To facilitate exposure and active interaction on various critical aspects in managing socio political aspects in the country, on 13th February 2019, Many parallel conferences are being planned. Some of the key topics include discussion on importance in imbibing Gandhian Values such as Truth,Non Violence and Tolerance, Women Safety and Empowerment, Importance of Constitution and Constitutional institutions for good governance, Equality and justice, Importance of Media in development of Country and value based leadership.

On 14th February, Hon’ble Congress President Shri ji will address the entire Maha Adhiveshan. The Mega Rally on the penultimate day will be one of the major highlights of the two day Rashtriya Maha Adhiveshan. This Rally will be addressed by Congress President. As part of this rally, Seva Dal volunteers will present following activities to Leadership and the Nation - Display of Parade by Each State with Band troops - Seva Dal Drills and display program - All Volunteers to take voluntary pledge on development of Seva Dal and Congress - The leadership team comprising all levels and its members will present the declaration to Congress President. This declaration will formally be released by Shri. Rahul Gandhi ji and Shri Lalji Desai ji to the Nation.

In this Rally, Congress President will guide Seva Dal members to build Strong Seva Dal to meet its organizational objectives.
