Clicca Per Scaricare La Guida Liturgica-2020-2021 ARCIDIOCESI DI BARI-BITONTO www.arcidiocesibaribitonto.it Lettera al popolo di Dio dell’Arcidiocesi di Bari-Bitonto S.E. Mons. Giuseppe Satriano arissimi fratelli e sorelle della Chiesa che è in Bari-Bitonto: pace a voi. Vi scrivo con animo pieno di stupore e trepidazione, animato da sentimenti contrastanti a causa dell’inatteso annuncio. La gratitudine e l’affetto maturato per l’Arcidiocesi di Rossano- CCariati, il cammino ecclesiale avviato con le varie realtà in Diocesi e in Regione, il tempo delicato e complesso della pandemia, l’inaspettata notizia con cui mi è stato comunicato di essere il vostro nuovo pastore, suscitano profonda riflessione. Ringrazio il Santo Padre per la fiducia dimostrata alla mia persona. Dinanzi alla sua richiesta di essere il vostro nuovo Arcivescovo, avverto la mia inadeguatezza e il limite che abita il cuore, ma al tempo stesso la fiducia e la pace che nascono dal cogliere come il Signore si rende vicino e mai lascia soli i suoi figli. Consegnati alla misericordia di Dio, sapremo attingere a quello scrigno di fili preziosi che è il vostro millenario cammino di fede, per continuare a tes- sere, nell’ordito della storia, la trama di pagine nuove che auspico ricche di fraternità e speranza per tutti. In punta di piedi vengo in mezzo a voi come fratello, pellegrino e men- dicante di luce, disposto ad abitare le sfide di questo tempo. Lascian- doci condurre dalla forza vivificante de vangelo e sostenuti da desiderio di camminare insieme, percorreremo strade appassionanti, non lasciando indietro nessuno. Solo se saremo disposti ad accogliere l’inedito di Dio riusciremo a rilanciare percorsi fecondi e gravidi di vita. Saluto con affetto S.E. Mons. Francesco Cacucci, verso cui ho sempre nutri- to sentimenti di profonda stima. La sua guida lungimirante ha regalato pagine ricche di grazia alla vita dell’Arcidiocesi. Colgo l’occasione per rivolgere un cordiale e fraterno abbraccio a tutti i vescovi pugliesi nella persona del Presidente della Conferenza Episcopale, S. E. Mons. Donato Negro. A tutto il popolo di Dio, ai presbiteri, ai diaconi, ai religiosi, alle religiose, ai monasteri femminili, ai seminaristi e alle Istituzioni del territorio rivolgo l’at- tenzione profonda del cuore nell’attesa di iniziare il cammino. Con affetto grande saluto le famiglie, i giovani e i bambini, realtà preziose e vitali per il nostro essere Chiesa. Una carezza e una particolare preghiera è per chi soffre e vive ai margini delle nostre comunità. Maria Santissima, custode divina della Comunità diocesana di Bari-Biton- to, accompagni e sostenga i passi di ciascuno aiutandoci a vivere, con slancio e generosità, un gioioso sussulto di Chiesa. Tante sono le prove che ci attendono, tanti i volti di cui prenderci cura insieme. Sorretti dall’intercessione di S. Nicola, vescovo attento e premuroso, e di S. Sabino, pastore generoso e di fede ardente, sapremo camminare accanto a chi fatica per vivere ed è smarrito. Da oggi, la preghiera per voi sarà incessante, così come chiedo a ciascu- no di custodirmi e di benedirmi con affetto. Vi voglio bene e metto il cuore in festa nell’attesa di rincontrarvi. Francesco Cacucci asciate che i bambini vengano a me, non glielo im- pedite» (Mc 10, 14). Vorrei che ciascuno si sentis- se convocato da questa Parola, come i discepoli di Gesù. Che tutti ci sentissimo interpellati a non im- pedire, anzi a favorire l’incontro dei più piccoli con il «LSignore. Desidererei, insomma, che al centro della nostra vita, delle nostre relazioni, delle nostre scelte, familiari e comunitarie, mettessimo i bambini e i ragazzi. Dovremmo farlo sempre: perché loro non sono solo, spesso, i più fragili, di cui prenderci cura, ma anche e soprattutto i testimoni del Regno, da cui siamo chiamati ad imparare (cf. Mt 18, 2-5). Proviamo allora a farlo in particolare in questo anno pastorale. Gli adulti e gli anziani hanno cercato di trovare motivazioni e forze per ripartire, pur tra tante difficoltà; i giovani hanno reagito tornando alle re- lazioni, non tralasciando gli impegni e gli obiettivi di studio e di lavoro, pur tra tante incertezze. E i più piccoli? Sono loro che hanno maggior- mente avvertito lo smarrimento e la paura per la situazione inedita. Lo si legge nei loro occhi; e alle loro domande noi adulti non sappiamo né possiamo offrire risposte certe. A loro, tutti noi – sacri ministri, educa- tori, catechisti, insegnanti, genitori – siamo chiamati a dedicare tempo e attenzione, cura e amorevole sollecitudine. […] Lo sguardo verso i più piccoli e soprattutto il loro sguardo verso di noi, ci ricordano lo sguardo stesso di Gesù e il suo invito ai discepoli, quando «chiamò a sé un bambino, lo pose in mezzo a loro e disse: “In verità vi dico: se non vi convertirete e non diventerete come i bambini, non entrerete nel regno dei cieli. Perciò chiunque diventerà piccolo come questo bambino, sarà il più grande nel regno dei cieli. E chi accoglie anche uno solo di questi bambini in nome mio, accoglie me”» (Mt 18, 2-5). Questo invito risuona alle nostre orecchie e nel nostro cuore, aprendoci alla speranza. La speranza, come ha scritto lo scrit- tore e poeta francese C. Peguy, «è lei, quella piccina, che trascina tutto. Perché la fede non vede che quello che è. E lei vede quello che sarà. La carità non ama che quello che è. E lei, lei ama quello che sarà». Così sono anche i nostri piccoli con noi. Così sarà, se ci faremo trascinare da loro. Ci guidi, verso l’aurora che ci attende, la Vergine Odegitria. Ci accom- pagni, lungo il viaggio, san Nicola. Il Dio della speranza, che ci riempie di ogni gioia e pace nella fede per la potenza dello Spirito Santo, sia sempre con tutti voi. + Francesco Cacucci Amministratore Apostolico di Bari - Bitonto l tempo di crisi che stiamo attraversando, causato dal Covid-19, ci mette tutti a dura prova; tuttavia siamo chiamati, come cristiani, a non cedere alla paralisi ma a comprendere, alla luce del vange- lo, il tempo in cui stiamo vivendo poiché Dio ci chiama ad essere cristiani oggi. Dio ha la signoria sul tempo; gli aspetti negativi della Ivita e la morte sono causa del peccato dell’uomo, non provengono da Dio. Non tutte le situazioni della vita seguono un percorso logico; il cristiano non deve affannarsi nel trovare il significato di queste cause. Il suo compito è piuttosto un altro: cercare i doni di Dio nelle cose di tutti i giorni. Anche nei momenti più bui della storia Dio elargisce la sua grazia. D’altra parte, ogni liturgia cristiana è sempre un incontro con Gesù Risorto. Dobbiamo avere l’ardire di pensare che tutte le lacrime di questo tempo, attraverso la morte e resurrezione di Cristo, saranno lacrime feconde per un’umanità rigenerata. Il nuovo anno liturgico che sta per incominciare ci ricorda che ogni istante della vita è carico di eternità perché il Figlio di Dio, con la sua incarnazione, ha fatto irruzione nella storia e in un certo qual modo si è unito a ogni uomo (GS 22). L’anno liturgico celebra il mistero del Cristo morto e risorto per tutti che attraverso l’annuncio del vangelo e la celebrazione dei sacramenti si impasta col vissuto quotidiano di ciascuno fecondandolo dall’interno. Quest’anno (B) ci accompagnerà il vangelo di Marco, definito dal card. Martini il vangelo del catecumeno, in quanto l’evangelista ci guida, at- traverso le parabole, da una visuale esteriore del mistero del Regno ad entrarvi al di dentro1. Spalanchiamo i nostri cuori in modo che Dio possa metterci dentro il suo desiderio! È nell’eucaristia che impariamo a guardare le fragilità dell’umano con occhi pieni di tenerezza, proprio come faceva Gesù: lì Egli continua ad esercitare il suo sacerdozio (SC7), in quanto ci viene incontro e, pren- dendoci per mano, ci fa camminare verso quella pienezza di vita che senza di lui rischieremmo appena di sfiorare. Comunicandoci al corpo e al sangue di Gesù, Egli dilata i nostri cuori con il suo amore e aspetta che torniamo a lui con i suoi stessi doni arricchiti. La III edizione italiana del Messale Romano, che inizieremo ad usare a partire dalla I domenica d’Avvento, diviene un ulteriore stimolo per una 1 Cf. C. M. MARTINI, L’itinerario spirituale dei Dodici, 8. formazione catechetico-liturgica che ci consenta di tenere uniti il prima, il durante ed il dopo di ogni azione sacramentale. D’altra parte, gli scritti più preziosi che i Padri della Chiesa ci hanno lasciato, non nascono a tavolino ma sono un discorso della Chiesa che accadeva nella Chiesa: essi, in qualità di pastori, istruivano i neofiti all’interno dell’edificio di culto, presso l’altare o presso il fonte battesi- male tenendo in mano la Sacra Scrittura e i libri liturgici. È noto l’interrogativo che Ambrogio poneva al neofita in una catechesi sull’eucaristia: «Vuoi sapere in quale modo con le parole celesti si consacra? Prendi in considerazione quelle che sono le parole che dice il sacerdote» (De sacram., 4, 21). Papa Francesco, nella sua ultima Lettera enciclica Fratelli tutti, mostra il nesso tra la liturgia e la vita; allarga la nostra visione nel modo in cui la liturgia debba prolungarsi nel vissuto quotidiano attraverso l’amore al prossimo. Egli richiama gli insegnamenti di San Giovanni Crisosto- mo che con grande chiarezza affermava: «Volete onorare veramente il corpo di Cristo? Non disprezzatelo quando è nudo. Non onoratelo nel tempio con paramenti di seta, mentre fuori lo lasciate a patire il freddo e la nudità» (FT 74).

    A CHRISTIAN UNDERSTANDING OF HOMOSEXUALITY Introduction Over the past 45 years, our society has undergone a revolution – there is really no other way to describe it – in the prevailing cultural attitudes towards homosexuality and various related ‘alternative’ sexualities, an entire range of behaviors now collectively referred to by the acronym LGBTQ – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (this last term being a catch-all for identities and behaviors that do not fit into any of the preceding categories). Most of the contemporary population has come of age during this revolution. Older readers will remember a time when if such things were even mentioned, it was usually in the form of a tasteless joke, or in the context of an insult. Indeed, the behaviors associated with homosexuality were once criminally punishable in almost every jurisdiction – federal, state, and local – in the United States, and similarly abroad. To be ‘outed’ credibly as someone who engaged in homosexual behavior usually meant that one’s reputation and career were ruined. Active homosexuals stayed carefully closeted, as they could become targets of blackmail or worse. Today, not only does our society broadly tolerate homosexual behavior, it is legally recognized and given protected status. The US Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision in June of 2015 made the United States the 22nd country to officially recognize same-sex marriage. Homosexual characters are everywhere in television and films, and the attention of social progressives is moving towards the mainstreaming of ever more exotic sexual identities. Young people are growing up in an environment where casual acceptance of homosexuality and bisexuality is increasingly seen as the norm, and where dissenters from the new orthodoxy are regarded with contempt, not only as ignorant and unenlightened, but as positively evil.

Non vi nascondo di averci pensato per molto tempo, dubbioso, circa i tanti aspetti su cui avrei dovuto soffermarmi e una delle domande che mi sono subito posto è stata: ma oltre alla figura di padre modello che io conoscevo, cos'altro conosco della vita di mio padre? E qui ho avuto delle perplessità ..... sì dico perplessità perché tutti i padri presumo hanno un determinato comportamento con i figli, dettato dal ruolo, c'è chi lo fà con più severità e chi meno, chi è pedante e chi meno, chi è accondiscendente e chi meno e via dicendo ma sicuramente tutti si apprestano a svolgere questo compito basilare con uno sconfinato e immenso amore !!! Ma un padre oltre a questo è anche un “uomo”ed è proprio il profilo umano, di uomo tra gli uomini, che mi ha portato ad iniziare questo lavoro, oserei dire di ricerca, esegetico, di tutti gli scritti e archiviazioni varie che con pazienza e passione certosina egli aveva iniziato ed implementato nei vari anni della sua vita. Ho avuto la fortuna di crescere in una famiglia molto unita, sotto tutti gli aspetti. Mio padre apparteneva a quelle belle famiglie di una volta, numerose: erano otto figli, madre, padre e “zizì” a carico (una zia di mia padre, sorella minore di mia nonna, la quale viveva sotto lo stesso tetto a causa di lievi problemi invalidanti) e come tradizione comanda, tutti i figli maschi e dico tutti nessuno escluso, hanno ereditato dal padre l'arte della lavorazione del legno.

    Protect Wildlife From Super-toxic Rat Poisons August 31, 2020 Dear Governor Newsom, We, the 4,812 undersigned, urge you to place an immediate moratorium on the use of second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides in California, except in cases of public health or ecosystem emergencies, to protect the state's wildlife from imminent harm. Right now dozens of species are being hurt by these super-toxic rat poisons, including golden eagles, Humboldt martens, San Joaquin kit foxes and spotted owls. And more than 85 percent of California mountain lions, bobcats and Pacific fishers have been exposed to these rodenticides. Mountain lions in Southern California are in especially grave danger, as their populations are already isolated and close to extinction. Several mountain lions were recently found dead with multiple super-toxic rat poisons in their bloodstreams. Immediate action by the state is critical to prevent these populations' extinctions. In 2014 the state of California did act by pulling this class of rodenticides from consumer shelves. Unfortunately there hasn't been a decrease in the rate of wildlife poisoning from these products because licensed pest-control applicators continue to use them throughout the state. Stronger prohibitions are necessary. There's a wide range of safer, cost-effective alternatives on the shelves today. Strategies that prevent rodent infestations in the first place, by sealing buildings and eliminating food and water sources, are a necessary first step. Then, if need be, lethal strategies can be used that involve snap traps, electric traps and other nontoxic methods. Please — move forward with a statewide moratorium on the use of these super-toxic rat poisons, pending the passage of A.B.

    AGENDA PASTORALE GUIDA LITURGICA DUEMILA ARCIDIOCESI DI BARI-BITONTO 19/20 www.arcidiocesibaribitonto.it AGENDA PASTORALE GUIDA LITURGICA DUEMILA 19/20 ARCIDIOCESI DI BARI-BITONTO www.arcidiocesibaribitonto.it In continuità col cammino pastorale della nostra Chie- sa diocesana vissuto negli anni scorsi, quest’anno, alla luce dell’Esortazione apostolica postsinodale di papa Francesco Christus vivit, vogliamo mettere al centro il << “cammino” dei giovani e con i giovani. Diciamo ”cammi- no” perché lo stile, nei due anni scorsi, è stato di fatto “sinodale” e “in uscita”». Con queste parole l’Arcivescovo, mons. Francesco Cacucci, ci esorta ad intraprendere un nuovo anno liturgico e a continuare l’i- tinerario pastorale che accompagna la nostra comunità ecclesiale. Sarà un anno intenso per la nostra Chiesa locale che accoglierà nella città di Bari, dal 19 al 23 del mese di febbraio 2020, i Presidenti e i Rappresentanti delle Conferenze episcopali, con i Capi delle Chie- se cattoliche orientali dei Paesi che si affacciano sul Mediterraneo, per l’incontro di riflessione e di spiritualità ”Mediterraneo, frontiera di pace”. L’incontro culminerà con la partecipazione di papa Fran- cesco la domenica 23 febbraio. «È un altro momento rilevante della nostra storia, che sottolinea la vocazione tutta speciale della nostra arcidiocesi» e che ci domanda di essere sempre pronti e disponibili ad accogliere i doni dello Spirito Santo, le sue sorprese e la sua forza, per confermare «tutti noi, piccoli, giovani e adulti, nella vocazione che il Signore ci affida e dobbiamo sempre riscoprire». Per questo desideriamo camminare con «Lo sguardo su di lui». È lo sguardo dei discepoli su Cristo ma vogliamo che sia anche il suo sguardo su di noi e lo sguardo della comunità sui più giovani, uno sguardo capace di guardare, «fissando e amando» come sa fare lo sguardo del Maestro buono.
