Inspired by Bryan ‘Yogi’ Davies, The Yogi Foundation provides support and funding to people with a spinal cord injury and their families to enable them to take a family holiday, which can be prohibitive for indi- viduals who have suff ered a spinal cord injury due to cost and care requirements. Terry has decided to raise money for the Yogi Foundation to help raise money to send a family on holiday - Yogi Foundation : making memories and delivering dreams for individuals with a spinal cord injury and their families. Inspired by Bryan ‘Yogi’ Davies, The Yogi Foundation provides support and funding for people with a spinal cord injury and their families to enable them to take a family holiday, which can be prohibitive for individuals who have a spinal cord injury due to cost and care requirements. Terry wants to do this challenge as Bryan ‘Yogi’ Davies, the Yogi Foundation’s inspiration, wanted to take his family on a family holiday to the south of France and The Yogi Foundation was looking to help him to do that. Sadly Yogi passed away before he and his family could take that holiday and Terry wants to raise money so that although Yogi and his family weren’t able to take the holiday, another family will be able to make new memories. Terry was a close friend of Yogi, and that’s why it is so important to him to make this challenge a great success and fundraise as much money as possible for The Yogi Foundation. A Total Giving page has been set up for the challenge, and the Yogi website address is www.yogifoundation.org.uk The personal challenge that Terry has set himself is to ride 4,000 miles on his Triumph Explorer motorbike, riding to every away match for RGC 1404, for the Swalec/WRU Championship fixtures for 2014/ 2015. This is a physically and mentally demanding challenge for anyone, but for Terry, who has been living with back problems for most of his life, and didn’t think he would ever be able to do this ride for Yogi, it is going to be a real challenge! FEATURE: THE YOGI FOUNDATION injury can cost three times more than for a family who do not have to con- sider care of loved ones with spinal cord injuries. Your support means the world to Terry, but being an unassuming gentleman he’s not going to run up to you with a bucket and ask you for money; so please donate generously through the Yogi Total Giving page, it’s very easy to donate and your money will make the world of difference to a family this year.
