Contract No. 3-D - PATCO Pedestrian Bridges and Tunnels Upgrades to Ferry Avenue, Haddonfield, Ashland, and Lindenwold Stations Sealed Bids for Contract No. 3-D, PATCO Pedestrian Bridges and Tunnels Upgrades to Ferry Avenue, Haddonfield, Ashland, and Lindenwold Stations will be received during normal business hours at the office of Contract Administration, Delaware River Port Authority, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, until 2:00 p.m., local time, December 7, 2017 and immediately taken to the Engineering Conference Room and publicly opened and read. The work to be completed under this contract consists of structural and pedestrian movement aspects of PATCO’s Ferry Avenue Station West Tunnel, Ferry Avenue Station East Tunnel, Haddonfield Station, Ashland Station, Lindenwold Station Tunnel, and Lindenwold Shop Overpass. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: repairing concrete spalls; cleaning and sealing concrete surfaces; filling of Ferry Avenue Station West Tunnel with cementitious cellular fill material; installing ADA compliant curbs and ramps; upgrading electrical lighting systems; and the demolition and reconstruction of the Lindenwold Shop Overpass concrete deck and the installation of an overpass canopy. A complete description of the work and full information for Contract Bidders is given in the Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by prospective bidders at the office of the Authority, Contract Administration Office, One Port Center, Seventh Floor, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, New Jersey 08101, beginning November 6, 2017, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m. A payment of $200.00 by check or money order, made payable to the Delaware River Port Authority, will be required for each set of Contract Documents. Once purchased, no refunds will be issued, even to firms submitting bids. Contract Documents cannot be ordered nor delivered by mail. This project will be funded with substantial assistance from the federal Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Transit Administration (FTA). As a condition of receiving this assistance, the Delaware River Port Authority has signed an assurance not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the award and performance of any DOT-assisted contract or in the administration of its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE Program). The Delaware River Port Authority has established a DBE Program that complies with the DOT’s Final Rule at 49 CFR Part 26. The Delaware River Port Authority further assures that it will take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure discrimination does not take place in the award and administration of DOT-assisted contracts or subcontracts. Firms responding to this advertisement are hereby advised that the use of DBE firms will be carefully reviewed and evaluated in the contract award process. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held starting at 9:00 a.m., local time on November 14, 2017 in the 7th Floor West Conference Room of One Port Center, 2 Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08101. All bidders shall be expected to completely and thoroughly examine all Contract Documents to become fully aware of the project scope and requirements prior to submitting a bid. The Authority will consider only those bids received from parties who have obtained Contract Documents directly from the Authority. Contract Documents are not transferable to other parties for bidding purposes.
